Maguiar Scion FR-S Gift

T10 gifted a Maguiar Scion FR-S, based on the car shown at SEMA in Las Vegas, to everyone (i.e. not limited to VIPs). It's basically just yellow with some branding on the doors, but still. There's also a dedicated Rivals event.

Yeah... The rivals even is "broken"... I think it's supposed to be the best time of Three laps, but it's not working that way... As soon as you cross the line after your first lap (And I mean the instant you cross the line) hit START and Finish the race... Your time will be recorded as it is the moment you push START...

I ran that rival 4 times (all 3 laps) before I figured it out... Hopefully they will fix it...

I remember getting one on FM4, I didn't know that they also did it on Horizon...

I got the info message on FM4 but no car and then on Sunday one popped up in Horizon. Had a look in FM4 again yesterday, but nothing

Check your Garage... I didn't get the notification, but it and the BMW from last month were in my garage somehow...

The Scion FR-S
it is a gift as all players did get one in both Forza Motorsport 4 and Horizon but it does require the August Playseat Car Pack or the Scion FR-S single car download to use the gift on FM4.

A lot of people on Facebook were pissed saying things like "Oh thanks Forza for a car that has no value to me." and "I can't use it because it is DLC and I don't have it.". I feel like there are a lot of people in the Forza community that are kind of arrogant and act like jerks. I feel bad for Turn 10 sometimes. They're just trying to make people happy and they sent you a free car. I already had an FR-S so I made this one an A class drift car. And it isn't that hard to pay, what, a $1.50 or a $1.00 to download the car. People aggravate me sometimes because they usually don't think.

All of the Community Mods/Admins for all games go through training on how to handle Trolls and Flames... They ignore them... There will always be a healthy dose of Ass Hats in the vocal majority. Fact is that the actual Majority doesn't care either way, and never visit or don't even know the forums exist (or have any desire to find out).

yeah, that is why I only join user-created races - you are much less likely (but still pretty likely) to get bashed in those. Going into the hoppers is just asking to get your rear bumper used as a brake...

Does this car add more medals to the 1000 club?

No medals. It doesn't count as a different car. At the risk of sounding ungrateful (which I'm not), it's not as spectacular as the pink donut Evo or the Halo car (wasn't that also an FR-S?), since it's basically just yellow with some black sponsor logos on the door.
