Simple but fun....
I've been in love with fiddling with things my whole life. I've always put in my own aftermarket sound systems, oil changes, tire rotations, and general service items. Between the iPhone, GPS and other stuff in my car, I felt it was time to do some semi custom mounting....
Here it is!
I didn't get my iPhone mount in the pic, but it's just off the bottom right of the screen. All of the cables are run behind the dash and tucked away. Where the GPS is, there was a sprung door. I removed it and the rubber mat in order to install the suction disc for the GPS mount. The Garmin I have has EcoRoute HD w/ an OBDII wireless module. Those gauges on the GPS are strait from the car CPU... Neat!....

Uhm, since nobody's asked, I will...
Why are you listening to "2 Unlimited"?
And clean your garage.

Re: Simple but fun....
LOL.... 10 points to marm for noticing that....
I was actually wondering the same thing when it came on... I actually removed it from my iTunes library last night.... The early 90's is when I was in mey early 20's. Techno was booming and the first techno compilation CD I picked up has this on it... It's been in my iTunes library since I started using iTunes, and Genius picked it up and put it in one of my electronic mixes. LOL.... I almost retook the pic, but decided to leave it and see if anyone noticed!!!

Re: Simple but fun....
As far as the Garage goes.... Drop it.... I get enough of it from my wife. I had the soccer goal broken down and hanging from the ceiling, but I got chewed out because A: she couldn't reach it w/o a ladder B: she couldn't put it back together!
Re: Simple but fun....
One other item... The gauges...
On the screen are the following
Coolant Temp (top tight)
Intake Air Temp (bottom right)
Timing advance (in the middle)
Throttle position (Top Left)
Mass Air Flow (bottom left)
There is another set of gauges accessed off of the Nav Screen... I will take photos of that tonight, but it has RPM, Speedo, Volt Meter and all of the various trip gauges and the like. It also records fuel economy and other items. VERY cool and worth the money if you're into gadgets!

Re: Simple but fun....
Did you not post it because you were playing the C&C Music Factory at the time?

LOL... OK... So now we are going back into my High School years of the late 80's.... And no.... I was listening to Milli Vanilli!!!
Re: Simple but fun....
C&C were still kicking around in the early 90's. Not much longer though.
You weren't a "Raver" were you?
OOOOOO, glow sticks and 2Unlimited on the car... still don't know how to paint.

I went to my share of Raves, but I was mostly working security... I worked Security at an after hours Rave club when I was in college... It helped that I loved (and still do) electronic/techno, but I was never a "Raver"... Not there isn't anything wrong with it, but I just couldn't get into to the silly hats, glow sticks, whistles, and other "stuff"... Not to mention the over abundance of drugs attached to the scene. Working security, I saw it all... Acid, X, ether (yes they would spry it on their sleeves and inhale it) and other stuff. I got to the point where I could tell who was on what... LOL...
Re: Simple but fun....
LOL
Dude, no need to give me your life story. It's ok.
We can all accept that you were a raver. It's ok.
We aren't here to judge ... mostly ... It's ok ... mostly.
