July DLC Discussion Thread

Guess are the Hudson Hornet, Jag XK 120 and I just threw in the Ford F-1 for giggles!!

I like the guessing thing... Makes it fun!

my money would be on the Jag. Based on last 2 DLC's having the Healey, then the MG...another Euro 2 seater convertible would fit in well.

The McLaren MP4-12C GT3! Been wishing for this since I first saw the GT3 version. I'd pay 560 MSP for that car alone Happily!

I can't wait to drive the ascari, it should be a blast. I already have a design that I am going to put on the MP4-12C GT3

And.... I got none of them right! LOL I do wish we were getting the Boss 302... I REALLY want that car and the Leguna Seca package is a trake day super star....

If the Subaru comes, I hope we get road version AND....

the one problem I have with the BRZ is that it goes 0-60 in 7.1 seconds... thats not exactly what you would call quick...

It's a real world daily driver.... I subscribe to the following philosophy....

On public roads..... It more fun to drive a slower car fast, than to be forced to drive a faster car slow...!

The BRZ fits my description of the perfect car for me (in reality).

• Decent gas mileage? CHECK
  
• Fun to drive? CHECK
  
• Decent performance? CHECK
  
• Could do a track day? CHECK
  
• Can fit two booster seats in back? CHECK
  
• Comes with SATNAV, Bluetooth, Automatic Climate control, Limited Slip, TCS, Sat Radio? CHECK
  
• Costs less that $30k USD? CHECK
  
• It comes in White, Silver or Black? CHECK
  
• It does or will have a very active aftermarket? CHECK

You could argue the WRX (AWD), the GTI (FWD) and a few others, but none offer the features and the performance together under $30k USD....

I would also love to have a Mustang GT with the new 5.0 Coyote, but that is a lot of car AND it's more than $30k USD similarly equipped!

Oh and.... The STI version is already in the works.... stay tuned!

not saying that I don't like the BRZ, I know that it was meant to be somewhat like a miata, but it just looks so cool and would be fun to drive. just saying it could use some more horsepower (hopefully what we will see with the STI)

Hopefully we'll get this eventually!!!

...now I gotta move wheel to PC and fire up GTR Evolution so I can play with this in a game...

OK... So we've all seen the video for the July DLC with the MP4-12C GT... Here is a vid about it FOR REAL!!!



I'm really looking forward to driving this one in game... If it's as good as I think it will be, it'll become one of my favorites... Tonight may be 10,000,000 + credit spend night for me...

Some pictures of the McLaren MP4-12C

OMG - The MP4-12C GT racer is friggin AWESOME!!! I was able to take the stock version out and hang with R3 800 tuned cars.... This is top on my list for upgrading and tuning... I want to see what I can do with only non-power mods and tuning with this thing as well as getting it up to R3800... I'm just afraid that adding power might ruin the balance of this thing... I will share what I find with the club!

This is, by far, the best DLC they've put out...! If you haven't grabbed it, please do...

Lou, I would really appreciate it if you send me your tune when it is finished. I would like to pair it up with my Hexis racing replica and upload it to the garage

Yeah dude that mp4-12c is freaking sweet! I took it out for a stock test on the rivals event and I found myself lapping more than 3 laps on silverstone. So much so that I ran like 15 or so laps and managed a pretty sweet LB time. I know there's tons more improvement but I had to leave for my niece's birthday party.

I found myself really enjoying cockpit view/hood view in that car for some reason. Now that I think about it, I like the restricted view of the purpose built racers for some reason.

I watched your replay, Mark. Switched to cockpit view and kept going around and around and around with you - what fun! Like watching a good qualifying lap onboard in F1. That's a sweet lap. I can't understand how you manage to maintain the speed you do through some of those corners.

I look forward to watching the replay when you go even faster ...
