I checked the latest week in review and it looks like you are going to have to buy the latest car pack to participate in the first bounty hunter challenge. The challenges will start this tuesday I think...

Was surprised by pack this month, maybe not paying attention, but hadn't heard boo about it till today. Couple cars that I'm really looking forward to in this one.

kinda like how I did a drift challenge with my ford F150. It was hilarious to see that half way up the club leaderboard...

I'm kinda angry about this... they created a community monthly class event that will only be able to be played by players in france... Mad they better not make it one of the bounty hunter challenges

I bet you money if there was a US or North America only challenge, the rest of the community would be screaming bias!!! Rolling Eyes

Whatever.... We need our EU member to take their Xbox's to France and run the challenge out or spite! Very Happy

Contest rules being what they are, I'm actually surprised there aren't more of these. I think the Veloster challenge was only open to NA.

...but since you bring up LeMans...anyone else going to be up till the wee hours watching this? should we arrange meet up time to turn some laps on LeSarthe?
kinda like how I did a drift challenge with my ford F150. It was hilarious to see that half way up the club leaderboard...
For a brief moment in time (like probably seconds) I was 49th on the Vette leaderboard. Servers weren't responding when I fired up game, but as soon as they did come on, that was the event I ran.

Fischs and I have gone back and forth on the drift challenge, and the Celica challenge (btw...something tells me Lou is going to take this one personally...expecting a pretty quick lap from him when he's back home). I don't have a tuned VW, so I couldn't even get close to Fischs this morning on that one.

I was kinda annoyed (briefly) that one of the Maple Valley restrictions is "production" so I can't use either of the unicorn drift cars on it. ..if you're going to give them away, give me events to use them on...? I'm over it.

Lastly, and off topic....June car pack, the Volkswagen sound is awesome =D THere are some sounds that don't feel right (maybe 'unique' is better term) in the game, but when they pull off a 'unique' car...damn do they nail it, 787, VW, the GT2Vette is pretty nice too.

I updated the OP with the first bounty hunter event. The prize car will be a unicorn car decided by a vote (it looks like it will be the HKS Evo). good luck everybody, the current time to beat is a 1:06.706! Very Happy

LOL, that was kinda fun. You put up a time, I beat it, then you beat me. I was actually in the top 50 of the Celica challenge, briefly. Now I seem to be playing hopscotch with Oogabooga in the Celica.

Very Happy yeah, but I can't seem to catch you now! I've been messing with the Celica...btw...is it just me or is the PI on that car messed up? The street transmission costs me MORE PI, than the race one...weird. I dropped the rear wheel conversion in, played with a front wheel and a rear wheel setup, but just can't find the line you are using on the back part of track. I grabbed SMS Flunky's tune, but haven't spent a lot of time with it yet.

I think I'm going to need some help from one of Franks magic tunes to land this unicorn. I'll end up being fixated on this one till I manage it, then want to get back to the drift one.

I grabbed a couple of tunes from the storefront. First I was using 'M3 Rocket's tune then I changed to
'Alfredos Nl' and squeezed out a bit more time. Search their GT, I believe both were free tunes.

I actually am starting to enjoy drifting too...

I just realized that I have been using the wrong celica for this challenge. I was using the one from the DLC pack when I should be using the '03 celica. I think I'm sitting at a 1:08.4 or something like that at least, so I have some work to do! Very Happy

Yeah, I tried one from the pack too, normally that is the car with the advantage, but not this time it would seem. Have tried a couple tunes for it, but it's not even really close.

correction, it was a 1:08.082, which isn't much better, but I should be able to shave 1.5 seconds off of it with a car change

I'm at a 1:06:51...which is JUST under....but it's killing me to find 4/10ths to get ahead of Fischs. You should find 2 sec easy with car change.

you should be able to find it eventually. It took me about 150 laps to find an extra half a second at maple valley to get under 1:36. repitition really helps, it kinda forces you to learn the track instead of just going around randomly as fast as you think you can. my point being if you take some more time to figure out the track, your lap times should really improve

...speaking of Maple Valley...was I the only one that didn't realize this was a drift event the first time out? I was hotlapping like nobody's business, got sideways at end of lap 2, saw the drift score thing pop up.....DOH!.... Embarassed

haha. I saw it in the week in review article so I used the henessey venom and gave up before I could get halfway through the track because I could not get it to move forward. It just wanted to sit there and spin around in circles Very Happy
