McLaren released photos of what they believe is the ultimate supercar. It's called the P1.

I'm not too sure about the windshield/roof - it looks a bit weird from the front - but I sure would LOVE to drive this car in FM4. I wonder if there is any chance, since DLC will probably be winding down now. Well, FM5 is probably just about a year away!

This one looks better than their current car. Whatever it's called.

I'm sure the performance is there. Just looks kinda... blah to me. Too plain.

The front looks like a re-done MP4c (I think that's right). But that back end... part of me just wants to spank it...

I think the MP4-12C looks better than this. I think McLaren went a little overboard with the P1, it looks like they just kept thinking "ooh, what if we added this.... and this... and maybe this, that would look great!" and all they have done is made it wayyy too complicated.

Mixed feelings about how it looks. Maybe it'll grow on me...but if its the f1's successor...i can't imagine how fast it would go either. Could it be a competitor for fastest road car?:O

Looks like it's not the final version:

In a press release today, McLaren stated that the P1 will be ”previewed as a design study” at the Paris Auto Show [on September 27]. A production model will be developed next year and put on sale within 12 months.

McLaren Automotive Managing Director Antony Sheriff, said: “Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit … It is the true test of a supercar’s all round ability and a much more important technical statement. Our goal is to make the McLaren P1 the most exciting, most capable, most technologically advanced and most dynamically accomplished supercar ever made.”
I agree with you, beef. The production model will probably be a bit more refined. But whatever, I still want to drive it!
