For those with kids (and the grandparents that typically come with them)

Post by joekorn on Tue Dec 04, 2012 2:55 pm

Found a blog about grandparents and Christmas that was so funny I just had to share it. Echoes my feelings exactly, and if the language wasn't so harsh I would definitely send it to my parents. Off-topic and random, I know, but here it is: http://www.chicagonow.com/baby-sideburns/2012/11/what-not-to-fing-buy-my-kids-this-holiday/

Just a heads up, it does contain quite a few obscenities.

LOLOLOLOL

While I don't share the same sentiment about Barbie, I had a good laugh.

And how in the world did you find this one?

Think my wife saw it on Facebook, somebody had posted a link.

Don't mean to mix my rants here, but man I am over Facebook. So I get crap for playing XBOX 'all the time' (well, OK, that's a valid complaint), but it's perfectly fine to spend hours upon hours looking at the pointless crap that her 600 closest friends are doing? And I want to bang my head against a wall every time I think about how I actually introduced my parents to Facebook. Started by me being lazy and telling them "Yeah, um, just look at my FB page, it has pictures of what the kids were doing and stuff". Has now turned into my Mom liking and/or commenting on EVERY PICTURE EVER POSTED BY ANYONE, my aunt actually sending friend requests to MY friends who she's never met, and don't even get me started about the constant stream of reposted cutesy/sickening pictures and religious/political statements that probably offend or at the very least annoy almost everyone.

And now I'm done. More pills please!

I love it....

This is one of the truest statements I've ever read about young children!

"My kid has no sense of negative self-image yet. If she did, she wouldn't be doing naked downward dog every night while I’m trying to get her into a pull-up."

ROFLMAO... that pretty much defines the drying and pajama portion of bath time in my house... While they are not in diapers/pull-ups anymore, they have no concept of shame! LOL...

Ahhh, facebook. I'm just on it to stalk people. No need to post stuff. Well, I always think about it. Then I decide against it. I figure nobody needs any "woe is me crap". So I do nothing on it. Maybe the occassional vid.

My wife finally got on Facebook. And she keeps asking me questions. Too funny. "How do you do this?" "How the hell do I know?"
"Well so and so did it"
"Why don't you ask them then?"
And then I get put into the doghouse because I don't know how it's done. Nor do I bother trying to figure it out. I told my wife I'm taking technology away from her if she can't figure it out.
