U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
I've been chatting with other tuners and designers in the club in other threads and over PM about offering U2SC "branded" tunes, liveries and vinyls to the FM4 community. It seems like there is quite a bit of interest from the club, and it may be an opportunity to "branch" out and further the already excellent reputation of the club. As a club, we've shown that we can have a relaxed and "good time" atmosphere and still (somehow) be competitive on the global leader-boards. That is just a byproduct of the excellent people we have as members of this club. There are clubs out there that do something similar, and we have the tuning and artistic talent in our club to do the same. We already have the name for it (Up 2 Speed Customs), so why not give it a try... We could all stand to make quite a bit of credits especially with Porsche on the way in 12 days...
We can actually start simple....
First thing we should do is ensure that U2SC is tagged in the descriptions of our SF offerings. Make the tag something like "[U2SC] Design" or "[U2SC] Tune"
Second is we should start matching up tunes and liveries. If beef comes up with a kick butt Viper ACR livery (which he has), one of the tuners should also provide a "lobby" tune for it. We just have to ensure that is referenced in each description field as well. This could also work on the Auction House as well. We can even offer custom tunes to those that purchase Liveries and vice-versa.
Third is one of the club members should be the community rep on the FM4 forums. Not sure how this would work (and probably not me as I already post enough here), but it's probably a good idea... I've seen custom tunes and liveries going from 25k to ???mil credits....
Forth and final we figure out a way to share the wealth with all those that contribute by tuning, testing, building vinyls, etc....
Thoughts?

Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
I think we should start one thread for custom tuning and another for custom liveries on the Forza forums in a couple weeks once we have a few good examples to show off.

Sounds good to me...!!! Let me know what cars you are doing liveries for and I will coordinate getting tunes done for them. just let me know what the target class is!
Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
I will probably start a couple today. I will let you know what car and you can decide what class it would be best to tune for.

Cool... I just need you to spec the body parts though... If I change them, it will alter your design.... Including rims...
Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
I think that using the forza front and rear aero would work the best. Once I am done painting the car, I could send it to you so you can tune it and so we don't have to waste twice the money. When we are done with everything on the car we can share it in the forza garage.

Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
Sounds good... I think the Designer should share the car BTW.... That is where the credit goes!
Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
I am actually working on an S-Class Lobby tune for the 2008 Corvette ZR-1 to go along with a livery I received from Keemo... It's pretty hot, and I'll share it in the garage when done. I will start a thread on it in the marketplace so Keemo gets the cred for the livery. I'm always nervous about false credit... I am an armature painter at best, and don't want folks to think I generated the cool work... Most of the time, I just slap on some simple vinyls and share it out tuned...
Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
Sounds good. As leader, I'll take a measly 75% cut of profits. It hurts me to do so but thats how the fortune 500 companies do it. And we are definitely a Forza 500 club right?

Wow we are lucky! I was sure you wanted to take 76% of the profit. I don't know about everybody else, but 76% is just too muchLowflyinmx3 wrote:Sounds good. It was a tough decision, but I wanted to make sure you all had enough credits to buy your paint supplies.

Thanks for your consideration! That 25% is going toward the best paint supplies money can buy

Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
LOL... So... The Turner and painter each receive 12.5% of the sale price? Well.. that's 12.5% more than I get today!
I chatted with Keemo on Live and he's in... He said "I live to paint" and that he will match designs to tunes. He's also willing to generate Liveries based on our ideas and tunes...

U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
Welcome to the Up 2 Speed Customs Garage!
This is a place for the talents of the U2SC Painters and Tuners can be put together to generate some kick a$$ Livery/Tune combos, Club and one-off vinyls and other creative stuff. We have discussed this and here is the thread. We have several in the club interested and already working on stuff for this effort.
Mission Statement: To bring the joy and talent of the U2SC Club to the rest of the FM4 community through rock solid tuning and mind blowing design (Ok... it's hokey but you get the drift)
Description: Working to match up Tuners, Painters and Photographers and create tunes, liveries and photo art for the rest of the FM4 community.
Why?: Because it's fun and we can all make some additional Credits, win some contests, etc.
How?: Each participant needs to create a "Garage Thread" in the marketplace forum here at U2SC. Once created, it will be linked back to your name in the lists below. Your thread should be where you track what you are working on and display pics, information, etc about what you've done. That's where we'll start.
Result: U2SC gaining FM4 community reputation as one of the best clubs in FM4 (which we already know). We are laid back, and love to have fun. That will never change (we hope). It would be cool to also have a high level reputation as a club in the areas of Tuning, Painting and Photography. We have the talent, so let us combine that talent into one team!
Tuners:
Description: Tuners are the FM4 Mechanics. Taking stock FM4 cars and turning them into race machines for every class. Below is the Official List of U2SC tuners. If you are interested in becoming an Official U2SC Tuner, please send InsaneFrank and BiggLou55 a PM on these forums.
Livery/Vinyl Artists:
Full liveries and custom vinyls are some of the best features in FM4, and we have a TON of design talent here. Entire clubs have been built around painters. Listed below are the U2SC Official Livery Designers. If you are interested (and there are more of you out there for sure), please shoot beefsupreme42 and Bigglou55 a PM on these forums.
Photographers & Videographers:
Test Drivers:
With every tune, there is a need to test. Tuners test before sharing, but there needs to be more extensive testing done on every tune. That's where the drivers come into play. If you are interested please shoot BiggLou55 a PM on these forums. Every single club member can be a test driver no matter your driving skill level. Actually having a wide range of skill helps tuning a lot!
Front Office:
With every successful endevor, there needs to be a good front office staff. . If you are interested please shoot BiggLou55 a PM on these forums.
This is an opportunity to share your work, or get better at what you do...

We should post all of our work on our U2SC forza forum. advertizing could really help us bring in more $$$$

All of my photos usually end up in a photomode comp so sometimes I get a view or 2 from someone looking up my photo, so thats always cool. It's very daunting to open up a gallery thread there on the official FM4 forums. With all the talent I'm just a noobie!
As for test drivers, you can definitely sign me up as a test driver, I'll drive the crap out of any car you guys need me to. Feedback will be given! Hopefully I'll be able to party chat with the tuners in the future.
Edit: To Lou and Frank and anyone wanting to TRY to make a few credits early in this porsche pack release, building up cars/tuning and selling the tunes on the SF for the new porsche rivals mode event might get you a few credits...I know for the bounty hunter, my toyota tune raked in 100k and it was a mediocre tune at best!

This is exactly what I am thinking... Setting LB times is only part of it... If we can provide the Photographers kick a$$ liveries to take shots of (giving them permission to use the designs), entering in the Fantasy and Race livery contests, and just having a laarger presence on the FM4 community will help build us up in the marketplace...
Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
Okay so I have made a Mopar Challenger that will be set up for drag racing. I have rims, a hood, and front bumper that cannot be touched for paint purposes. I am not the correct person to be tuning this so if anyone that is signed up for tuning can do it for LB Drags we will have our first car to be sent off to try and bring in the cash and rep. I will have a picture of it in a tiny bit.

I'll throw a drag tune on it... any target class or PI max?
Nice work BTW....
Re: U2SC-G: Up 2 Speed Customs Garage
Well Lou I will leave that part to you. I say whatever it will be the most competitive in will be perfect. I know it can happen if some hard work is thrown into it. If for any reason we cant get it to be enough for drag racing the target can be switched. But for now it would be nice to have a drag car. Let me know how it goes. I will send you the car later tonight. Just remember the hood rims and front bumper are key for the paint job. Thanks Lou.
(For other painters, we do work together so if you see any flaws or you think something needs to be added let me know and I will be happy to send you the design to work on also.)
