I hope he will not improve his time tomorrow.
Really glad I didn't put in a Montoya effort. When I started, I needed about 3 tenths on my best time. Now it's 3 sec. That's WAY beyond my ability (hell, I couldn't even find the 3 bloody 10ths ). But this just reveals a hidden perk to being in a cool car club: I can rejoice in vicariously beating crazy times through excellent drivers like Frank, Mark and Chaos
Same here.... and I gave up on Montoya too.... I play games to relax and have fun... If I wanted a grind, I'd go back to playing World of Warcraft or Rift.... No thanks...
Congrats Frank! That makes THREE of our 100 members that made it... Going by that sample, that's 3% of the player base which isn't so bad... Still, they could do it better. Give me 7 days to beat a time that will not change, and I may give it a go....

My post from the FM4 Thread: http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/135/5547225/ShowThread.aspx#5547225
Congrats to all those who beat MightyMrDigital super fast time this week! Those that beat it truly earned the Unicorn!
@Turn10: I do have a suggestion for the Community Bounty events. First off, some of us (like me and several of my fellow club mates) don't have as much time to devote to the running of Rivals or the playing of FM4. I will tell you that over at our club forums, there are quite a disappointed and even frustrated folks. That said, I think it's GREAT to have more challenging Community Bounties like this one, but I think they could be run a little better. Give a date when the bounty time will be set so we can know what we are working towards. Most of the frustrations surround the late posting of the really fast time. It's not the time itself, but the frustrations surround the time already invested in this weeks rival. FWIW, IMHO there should be a drop dead date for the Bounty time to be set. This way, players can choose to hold off until the time is firm, or choose to run the entire time... My 2 cents...
Cheers and Happy Hunting!!!

Anybody get their E-type (is that the car?) last night?
I dunno 'bout this one cuz I sure as hell gave up on that bounty.

Phred said that if he got the time he would be sending out the Jags yesterday, not sure if it actually happened however. I think he was too busy trying to beat the tar out of us on his own rival.

I dunno.
Last night while doing the Fuelish challenge, I got gifted the car. I know for a fact that I didn't beat dude's time in that last Bounty. I ran it, and then he blew my doors off. I just gave up after that.
Just not sure how I got this car. Then again, people have been getting random Uni's it seems. And I know I haven't gotten 1.

Marm, you may be confusing the Rival challenges up. The rival for the Jag was done about a month ago and it was trying to catch F1sh0. No prize car was sent until today I suppose. After this challenge there was the Kenan rival and then the MrDigital rival. Digital was the one that hustled us with a super fast time Monday evening. Not many got that one, including myself and that car was gifted that night after the competition was over. Weird.

Re: June community monthly class
You sure? I'm positive that I didn't beat the time for the jag. I don't even remember the last challenge I actually thought I had the car.
This is the car that beef turned a boatload of laps on because he really wanted this car. At least that's how I remember it. With the impending move to a new house, joys of work, etc, perhaps I'm not thinking straight.
The only thing I'm sure of is the subie coming my way for whatever challenge that was for.

Funny, they're all starting to blend together. I thought I earned that Jag but could be mistaken. Wasn't that the one where a lot of us used Frank's Honda unicorn? Maple Valley?
Edit- I did get it! 'twas waiting for me in the file depot.

Not home so I can't check, but I thought I was getting that Jag, but not the Unicorn from last month...although still waiting for the VIP unicorn. Nothing shows up in my online file depot, but that has been broken for some time.
Will be able to check tomorrow night.

Mine wasn't showing in the online depot either but was there when I started playing. Unless by some strange coincidence they sent it to me in the ten or so minutes between checking online and starting up the game!swviper wrote:Not home so I can't check, but I thought I was getting that Jag, but not the Unicorn from last month...although still waiting for the VIP unicorn. Yes that is the one. The bounty F1SH0 is a top 100 driver and actually hit the brakes at the end of his lap so that his time would not be too good.

That's funny! And very sporting. I never watch or race the actual bounty driver, just people from the club or "near me."Fischs3 wrote:Yes that is the one. The bounty F1SH0 is a top 100 driver and actually hit the brakes at the end of his lap so that his time would not be too good.
Maybe they ought to make it so the top _% wins the bounty instead of having to beat a certain time. I guess that would kind of defeat the purpose though.

Yep, the Jag was in my file depot when I got home. For some reason I remember the paint being 'uglier'. I haven't driven it yet, but the tune is supposed to be really good. Anyone have any time in it?

Had a go in it around Sedona (with all that practice, I knew the track). A little loose, but that could've been me not adapting to the car. Not bad, but it all depends on your preferred style I think.
Lou will hate the way it's set up. Frank should be ok with it.
