Re: June community monthly class
I updated the table in the OP.... Looks like there are 13 of us that have him beat this week! Hopefully he won't go faster!
Re: June community monthly class
I beat the time, but I didn't do it before the stupid deadline, which was 8am yesterday. d'oh.
once again, thanks to frank and lou for the tunes in the garage. both of those tunes/cars were able to beat that time.

Southern the deadline was 8am pst. Also in past competitions if you beat the time before T10 pulled the list of winners you still won. So it depends when you set the time and when they pulled the list of winners. Don't give up hope just yet.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Southern gets his HKS Evo (the prize for beating him!)
Re: June community monthly class
Ok, I may start trying this but I am a total noob when it comes to rivals. How exactly does it work. Just go on community and Rivals mode? I get messages about "you may like this rival" or something. What do I do with that? lol.

Re: June community monthly class
when you get messages about rivals, its either an alert that someone beat your time or its T10 advertizing a new bounty hunter event/community monthly class event. just go to the rivals tab under the communtiy section and start racing!CASH XRS wrote:Ok, I may start trying this but I am a total noob when it comes to rivals. Cash...Rivals is my second favourite part of Forza...almost every week they have a new bounty that you try to catch. If you do, you are gifted a free car. There have been 15 community bounties and three king of the track bounties, the difference being that king of track run for a month and are celebrities while community bounties run for a week and are either community players like you and I or T10 employees. If you enjoy unicorn cars, this is a great way to capture them, seven different unicorn cars have been given out for these challenges. Some are easy and others are very difficult.
The challenge usually comes up first on the forza forums web page. This weeks post -
http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/5482034.aspx
Generally it will tell you who you are chasing and his time to beat. The bounty can also improve his time throughout the week, so you need to check if you are still ahead of his time. The way to do this is check here, the forums web page or add the bounty as a favourite in game to ensure your time is still good.
Ironic part I find is I will run lap after lap spend hours trying to beat the bounty to win a car. Then I receive the car, try it out a couple of times and don't touch it again, lol. The NSX-R GT is the exception however.
Don't quote me on this but I don't believe there will be a new bounty this week till the weekend. Normally, a new bounty is announced today but there has been no mention so far. With the LeMans weekend coming up, T10 has said there will be new rivals added this weekend just to celebrate the event. I suspect there will be some kind of bounty or prize for participating in the rivals this weekend.
So check out the Rivals this weekend and get in on the fun. If it was not for Club Racing and Rivals, I don't think I would still be playing the game much. Now, I can't seem to find the time to complete my bucket list.

Agreed^.
Most of the CR's I have are made through just constantly running Rivals mode events and raking in 150,000 CR or even 250,000 CR a pop on the more popular rivals modes.
It's also a good way to get better at lapping around different tracks in general. Different tracks, different cars, different lines to take, there's a wealth of information to be discovered just playing Rivals.

True. I find I'm still making my way through the BucketList, but when I'm working on it, I find I'm also tinkering with tuning more. When I'm in Rivals, I'm working on lines. Then I go back to the BucketList, and I'll run trackday, or autocross, and work on passing etc. Each aspect of the game seems to lend itself to learning another part.
Also, have learned I cannot do the R class with Professional AI....1, they're dirty 2, they are stupid fast. Some of the Track Days events on Pro are tough too.

After using both the Mustang Cobra and Vette Z06 last night in Cat-n-Mouse (as the mouse and of which I won both thank you very much), I found that I truly SUCKED at tuned prior to joining this club. Both had "tunes", but they were worse than just slapping on sport bits and running.... After the session, I jumped in the Cobra and headed over to the tuning shop.... I ran a baseline test lap at Leguna Seca, and ran a dismal lap... I went into the upgrade shop and swapped out parts, tuned the beast (without any tools) and went back out on the track. I increased my lap time by 10 SECONDS!!!
proof that racing and driving will make you not only a better driver, but also a better tuner!

I saw that Viper... I was like... "Is that a STOCK CAR?!?!?!" Sweet!
And you guys had issues holding my Mustang and Vette back... Look out in the future where the Mouse is A-Class... Both will be ready to go if Le Mans is the venue again!

Re: June community monthly class
I got the prize car (surprisingly before the d-type and the S204) but I need to download content from disc 2 to use it and I have no more room left to download it. looks like I have to make a stop at target or gamestop sometime this week to get an extra memory unit...

Re: June community monthly class
Same, the HKS was there on Friday, but no sign of the D-Type ...which probably won't get used much. The EVO is nice tho'! Not NSX-R GT, but haven't done anything with it yet....in the hands of a tuner, this car could be fantastic.

Re: June community monthly class
I haven't had a chance to tune it yet, but I will.... And I'll share!
What was the VIP car for May? I have looked, but I can't find it on the FB page...
Looks like the Subi S204 is the one for June (and will be eligible for the August series)

Re: June community monthly class
I did get the car after all! It's really really fun to win those cars-
I think I have 3 or 4 unicorns now (i'm not bragging) and hope they keep up these bounty hunter challenges until forza 5 comes out.
