John's new time is at least 1:52.799 - apparently he's done a low 1:52 since.

Seems the 95 Mustang is the car of choice. I managed a 1:53 in the 2013 Mustang 302, but it has an atrocious final gear. Since I don't have the 95, I'm stuck with the 302. But I'm gonna try the Shelby GT500 tonight as well.

Suspect I seem to be talking to myself here ... oh well, an audience of 1 is still an audience.

So the Shelby feels better and I managed a 1:50.8. Unfortunately the Forza server had issues and couldn't upload the time. This happened to John, too - heh heh. But it turns out to be a non-issue since John's new time is 1:50.167.

This is proving to be challenging Very Happy

I gotta find me some time and fire up Horizon. I haven't played it in quite a bit of time.

I tried this challenge yesterday and had a hell of a time. It's tough to adjust to Horizon challenges after you've been doing laps around Motegi for 40 minutes.

Damn. John's into the 49s. I somehow managed a 1:48 last night, but I don't know if I'll be able to replicate that, never mind improve. Unless I can finally figure out how to launch properly.

It's impressive how the AI cars can time themselves to be exactly where you need to go to make a good corner at the exact moment you need to do it.

Thanks, nub - although the fastest time is something like 10 sec quicker ... I just hope it's good enough, because I can't get that Shelby there any faster, and John is only 3 tenths behind. I can honestly say I have zero interest in seeing that 90-degree corner ever again. Hope the next CBH is a circuit again - unless it's a rally!

cheers I made it! John's final time is 1:48.334. When he set that I was on 1:48.333. So, running scared, I ran and ran and ran again and somehow managed a 1:48.033, but that was it. How cool would it have been if I hadn't and beat him by 1 thousandth of a second!

That would have been pretty cool. Even so, congrats on your victory!

If you jump to the first page of this thread without realizing it you feel like you really missed out on stuff. When you jump to the second page you realize your mistake.

Grats, Shin! It was a fun challenge but man, it required more patience than I could give it.

Thanks, guys Very Happy I'm just relieved John wasn't able to dip into the 47s, because that would've been beyond me. I don't know how some of those top guys got low 40s with the Shelby ...
