Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
The rules are simple... Introduce yourself to the club (even if you've been a member since day 1), and no thread-jacking please (that means you Marm! )...
I'll kick it off with something I posted in another thread...
My name is Marcus and I am 39 (40 this august) with 2 girls (4 and 5).... I live in Nashville, TN, and I'm usually not on until 9-10pm CST... I am a journeyman tuner and painter, and I am a horrible FM4 driver!
The history around my GT BiggLou55... Lou comes from my middle name, and BiggLou was a nickname given to me by my best friend way back in high school (1986-90 for those trying to do the math).... I am 3rd generation Italian American, so the "Big" and "Lou" were combined and said with a New York twang. It stuck to me like glue. I added the 55 and the extra G later on after Al Gore invented the internet (I couldn't help it LOL). 55 is the number I wore in HS playing Hockey, and still wear today when I am in shape enough (and not fat like I am now) to play in the adult leagues... I stopped playing 2 weeks before my youngest was born with a level 2 sprain of my MCL. I play D and caught an edge defending against a 3 on 2... I spent the next 4 weeks in a hinged brace, but still had to go up and gown 2 flights of stairs to take care of my oldest (17 months old at the time). I quickly realized that I was too fat and out of shape to play with my brain thinking like a teenager on the ice! The extra G? That was slapped in to add a little more individuality... LOL...
Edit: Forgot to mention my two insane cats (like Sean #1), brothers..... Pete and JJ... I work in Enterprise IT (been in IT since the mid 90's) as an Operations Architect (designing, governing and managing processes surrounding operational readiness) for a large global company (privately held)... I also hold a degree in Architectural Engineer, and started my career in Architecture, but quickly turned to IT.

Re: Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
Great idea Lou....Here is mine again.
I am the opposite of Low. I am 39, married, usually happy, with three boys. My oldest is 8 and I have 6 year old twins. Two male cats, so I make up for Low's lack of testosterone. We only bought the xbox last June because the previous 5 years we had no time. Anyone with twins would understand. I live in Ontario Canada not far from Marm. My life is comprised of work, home, arenas and xbox. All three of my boys are heavily involved in Hockey and Lacrosse. Therefore we are in an arena 11 months of the year. August is the only down time. I am a fan of sports, hockey is my favourite, Dexter and cars.
I also just received my new wireless headphones, so I can finally talk online. If work isn't too bad today I may get home in time to try them out tonight.
Cheers

Twins, nice! I have 2 1/2 year old twin boys that I stay home with, so you may see me on throughout the day when they are napping / I need therapy. I'm 35, married, and live in Indianapolis. Quit my job managing private jets once the boys were born, and it has definitely been an experience. While I miss driving my clients cars around, I still have to say my current job is quite a bit better. As for Forza, I dabble in tuning and painting, but not great at either. Have improved a lot as a racer since I've joined U2SC thanks to all the help and feedback, big thank you to marm, lowflyin, Frank, Mark and Lou, think I've picked up at least something from every one of you. I'm always happy to help with tuning, painting, or even procuring cars or credits, so please let me know if any of you need anything. If I can't help I can certainly point you towards someone who can!

I'll go again...
My name is Sean, I'm 41, married, 3 kids. Two girls, one 21, one 7, and one boy, turning 5. Have 2 insane cats as well, brothers. I can be found in Brantford ON...despite that I'm actually not that much of a hockey fan. I used to spend majority of 'racing' time in PC Sims like rFactor, GTR2, and RACE...never got into iRacing, not a fan of the subscription based gaming model. Currently very into ALMS, FIA GT...Rolex series....sports car stuff....lately I have found myself enjoying Aussie V8 Supercars as well. Computer geek by nature and trade, 'gamer' is an adequate description as well.
Joe, I could use some of your tunes I think, every time I log into Forza I get string of messages 'Joekorn has beaten you in ..... rival challenge'

Re: Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
Well, as said before, another Sean here as well. ALthough you guys can still call me Cash in order to prevent confusion with ^^ Sean aka viper. Cuz I'm sure, like me, he hates when someone has the same name as himself. It's not around just enough that when someone in the same room DOES have my name I go nuts when I hear it and it's not meant for me lol, I digress.
24 years old in about a month. I live about a half hour outside of Philadelphia. I am currently engaged and will be getting married next June. I am a big car enthusiast in all ways shapes and forms. I love just about any kind of racing and any kind of car/truck. Although some of you may already know, I am also a big Toyota enthusiast. Also a HUGE Phillies fan, and baseball is my other true passion right next to cars. I'm an accountant by trade during the day, janitor by night and detailer on the weekend weather permitting. No kids to report of lol.
In regards to Forza, been playing since FM2, but I have never been as involved as I am now with you guys. I race with the same Fanatec setups as Sean and Lou (Marcus lol). I am not a tuner or painter, just a driver, although I hope those to get better as time goes on. If I can help anyone with anything, just lemme know. Hoping this club turns into 5 full lobbies of 15 racers come league night soon enough! Love this club!

Re: Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
I've been in this club in a while and I've never really formally introduced myself. I'm Mark and I'm 21...probably the youngest in the club :O. In college atm just working my way through, looking to go into accounting. I live in a quiet little part of Brooklyn, NY. I'm currently busy with school/ helping my mom take care of my siblings. Mom's getting on in age so I'm fulfilling my role as big brother
Being in the club has certainly made the game a lot more fun and involved, so thanks to everyone who's been doing their best to keep it interesting!
I enjoy all things cars and racing. Fun facts...I've been playing guitar for about 8 years, I don't really enjoy the music of my age and I also drive a Toyota, the family RAV4

Glad to have you Gelu, always nice to have some diversity among our members. I heard talking in the background once when I raced with you and couldn't figure out what language it was, thanks for clearing it up I speak a very small amount of Hungarian and a bit more Spanish and Italian, but have no idea about Romanian.

Thanks for kindly word and i already booked the race from 1st of april. I hope do not be a "joke" for 1 aprill because i play in the dark and with headphones. At that time here we have midnight and everybody sleep. But no microphone to be a "voice" ,because my wife will kick me out from the xbox room.I use the wireless speed wheels from Microsoft but still need to practice.Anyway xbox is my hobby so i'm glad to find same "atitude". Will be great if is possible to be a email to anounce events in order do not miss the "drivetime".
So thanks again and if you need help on something to do on the club, please let me know.

Re: Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
Hi I am Wally, only to some. Wally was derived from my last name. The picture is an actual picture of me in 1985 at Ft. McCoy, WI when I was first commissioned into the Army. Since then I’ve had 4 children, one just graduated college in Bronxville, NY – she along with her brother gave the X-Box to me for Christmas about 5-6 years ago. My oldest son is in college and is in the Air Guard (he has a 85’ S-10 Blazer, short block 350 – it scares me), kid 3 is active duty Air Force (he is restoring a 80’ Corvette), and last but not least my youngest daughter will be going to college starting spring 2012 (criminal justice). O yeah I have a wife of 29 years. It is amazing what she puts up with. I get more time with the Xbox now that the kids are gone or going. I used to be a commercial artist in the late 70s. I spent most of the 80s in college and seminary and now I am VA chaplain, former Army chaplain. I’ve always like fast cars, hot rods, finely tuned engines, never learned how to fix them – don’t know the language well. I had an AMX when I was in my early 20s. It seems I used to shift through 4 gears faster than going through 4 or 6 gears on these Forza cars. Now that I am testosterone deprived maybe that is why it just takes longer. I hope to be one of those old men you see driving an old hot rod. For now my wife says I can customize an ’86 S-10 Blazer that she got from her uncle’s estate. I’ll take what I can get for now.

Re: Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
Greetings fellow clubbers,
I've been involved with this group for some time so the day has come for me to have a formal introduction. I'm 24 years old living in Indiana, going to grad school at IUPUI hoping that someday I'll get paid to do something related to science. Sports are pretty much what I do... played baseball for many years(yeeeah Tigers!), soccer for even more(Go Manchester United!), hockey since I can remember(Red Wings for life!), cycling(the brothers Schleck) and even dabbled in tennis, racquetball, lacrosse, and golf.
I've always been a big fan of racing too, mostly following Raikkonen and Kubica in F1/rally but also MotoGP and the V8 supercars. One day I hope to be able to afford a trackday car and drive it on the weekends to some of the great circuits around here. One day I fully intend on going back to germany and going to the Nürburgring to drive the Green Hell. Until then and even after... we have forza.

Re: Say Hi and Introduce yourself!
Hi Guys,
I'm Chris Douglas (GT: DougieManCan) from the UK, im 30 (recently) and have a lovely Wife and 4 month old Daughter (hence the lack of xbox time). I live and work in Liverpool, UK and have done all my life. I work in IT for a IT services and support company installing and managing servers, networks etc mainly Microsoft Solutions.
I only got an xbox about 18 months ago after playing must stuff on the pc (badly). I enjoy FM because there is very little like it on the xbox for racing, im also a big fan (but not very good at) most 1st person and 3rd person shooters ie Gears 3 and MW3. Other interests are R/C cars and R/C Bikes which takes me around the UK for most of the year. I even took part in RC Bike World Championship a few years back in Spain and got a 3rd place overall , other interests are F1, MotoGp, WRC and most things inbetween.
Look forward to playing some Forza with you guys.

Welcome Seth! Glad to have you and look forward to running with you!
Great club, guys...thanks for the warm welcome
My name is Dean, I'm 46. Married with four kids, ages 19, 15, 12, and 7 (want one?). East Coaster...in tiny Delaware (you can cross the entire state going balls-out in a Veyeron in seven minutes (east to west) or 20 minutes (north to south)). Why Phorzaphantiq? Should be pretty obvious by my choice of driving sim (NOT by my driving prowess, which leaves much to be desired...hey, someone's gotta come in 9th out of 10! And that's on a good day).
This is my first crack at social gaming. Looks like a great club. Long, long ago I was a Gran Turismo fan till our PS2 blew a gasket. Began Forza with the second installment, which I thought was so-so (nice cars, hated the tracks). Graduated to Forza 3 and was impressed...but blown away by Forza 4.
I love period racing in America or Europe in cars with liveries that are rendered as accurately as possible. Once I get my tunes right, I can't wait to step back in time and host a race at Sears Point, circa 1971 (Infineon Race Track) with a bunch of properly liveried SCCA pony cars. I rarely race above S class, unless I'm into spectacular wrecks.
Can use all the help I can get tuning.
Looks like a great place to hang out.
Dean

Hi all!
My name is Gonzalo, I'm 25 and I'm from a little city 20 kms north of Madrid, Spain. I have a degree on Mechanics and I've been working for 5 years on the main roadside assistance company of Spain, which is also the Spanish partner of The AA. Unlike most of you, no kids yet hahaha
Although I've been simracing since I was a kid (Live for Speed, rFactor, Enthusia) Forza4 is the first game I play online so consider me a beginner on this. More than that, my gf gave the this X360 as a present last month, so I'm a total newbie
About Forza4 cars, I love jap imports so I'll be looking forward to racing in Tsukuba with some group B/A/S lightweight cars lol. Just kidding, will love to race with and against all you, no matter the track or car, and will behave as a gentleman

My name Robert ( SICMOPAR ) I'm 45 from Illlinois and unlike most here no kids or wife . I've been on Xbox for a few years now but this is the first race game I have had, mostly shooters, adventure games. I will race anything but mostly love the muscle cars and trans am racing style look. As for my gamer name it came from my dad and uncles who were and are Chevy and Ford guys. I had to rebel and went out for my first car and brought home a 71 Dodge Demon in lime green. they saw it and said that is one sick looking Mopar and it stuck. Now I have had my share of Ford's and Chevy's mostly Stangs and Camaro's But will always be a MOPAR MAN......This a great stress release after work for me.. If any one has any Mopar Dodge logos or extra cars you like to get rid of lookin to build up my garage and get some more acheviments 150,300 cars would be nice to see.

If you still do sim racing on computer Gonzalo, hit me up, would be fun to get back into rF and do some online racing. I'm hoping that rF2 is everything they say it's going to be, but I'm a bit skeptical.

That's good to hear! I don't wanna join a group full of pro & hyper-serious racers able to destroy all FM4 track records, just a group of casual but dedicated racers who enjoy messing around a circuit, drifting a bit and having funBiggLou55 wrote:Welcome aboard Gonzalo.... Hahaha, you bet I will, just gimme some time! If all goes well we'll see if we can start living together in less than a year. About PC simracing, I'm now dedicating some time to Project C.A.R.S., take a look at it if you haven't as it looks really goodswviper wrote:A woman gave you an Xbox....marry her!

I'm in Tres Cantos, which is about 9 kms north of Alcobendas, so yes, very near! I sometimes go there for bowling, cinema or shopping, it is on the same road I use when going to Madrid city.joekorn wrote:Welcome Gonzalo!
