VIP Gift Cars Empty VIP Gift Cars

Post by DolichaWhat Wed Mar 14, 2012 11:23 pm

I'm considering getting a VIP code sometime soon (probably by buying a code or a new LCE on eBay), and I was curious, if I do will the random cars gifted to VIPs also be in my File Depot? Even though I wasn't a VIP when they were gifted?

I'd be leary of buying a code. Other than that though, I have no info for you.

I would think the Forza forum would be the best place for this question. I haven't had much experience with this. (Nor have I purchased the VIP).

I don't think you will get the cars already gifted. My understanding is that the cars are sent to you and stay there for 30 days or until you accept the gift. If you do not accept within 30 days, the file disappears. As for cars in the future, if you get a valid VIP, you should receive them.

So VIP membership is now on sale. Is it worth it? Are those five cars unicorns? I'm kind of confused by what this status means for now and in future months. I know there is a monthly rivals event. What else makes it worthwhile? $5 off the Porsche pack is a plus.

did you get the vip gift cars?

I think when I got the Forza 3 Ultimate Edition a few months after it came out I got some random gift cars, but I'm not really sure if they were VIP ones..

Y'know, this is the first game where I've bought DLC (season pass). Now I gotta add the VIP and the Porsche pack. Thank god I don't play a lot of games.

I can't get over the feeling that I've got "SUCKER" across my forehead.

This is true, but for other reasons... You got married and had kids right? Very Happy Razz Wink I know because I am in the same boat. I spend more money on the wife and kids than I could ever on Games, Apps, Movies and Music.... Very Happy

I didn't yet but it sounds like we will based on people's comments at the Forza forums. Stay tuned...

Let's see: $30 for the disc on sale + $30 season pass + $30 VIP/PEP + $7.50 pre-order car pack + $7.50 May car pack = $105 and counting affraid

My argument to that (if I ever needed to justify it) would be a 105 bucks spent to keep me at home is better than me blowing the money at a bar and doing who knows what else (i had a real WILD before my kids lol).

I've put in well over 200 hours of play time and am not the least bit bored of it. And yeah, it keeps me out of trouble!

Just got the Top Secret S15 btw.

As true as that is, divide that by # of hours spent playing. When I do the math, this game has cost me less since it's come out than my cable has....and I for one have spent far more hours in front of Forza than Jersey Shore.

$105 = 3-4 movies for two in the theater with a drink and popcorn (if you are lucky)... That is a max of 10 hours entertainment... I spent 10 hours in Forza my first two days!!! Very Happy

Also think about all of the MMO games out there that charge $15/month to play on top of the $50+ game price... I played WoW for a few years and I don't even want to do the math to figure out how much that cost me. Forza is WAY more entertaining and challenging...

Honestly... I can comair the complete FM4 experience with the best MMO games out there... FM4 actually has all of the makings of an MMO without the persistent world... Will Forza Horizons be that Drivers MMO?

I was thinking this same thing, that the monthly car packs, etc is the equivalent of paying for an MMO.

NFS has tried to do it...2x now. Motor City was awful, I don't think it went nearly as well as they hoped, and I don't think the last one did much better.

Horizons (if this is what it is...persistent world, can get in and cruise, or setup custom races) will likely be a pretty engaging experience

Then they'll assign xxvip or something.

Just another moniker to add to their pocketbooks.
