Idea For a New Club Banner

I know the club banner we have may be emotionally attached to some members, but I just want to throw and idea out for a new one if ever considered.

If we got a lobby full of club members all driving cars designed with club logos and then have a nicely detailed picture taken, I think it would make a fashionable and also attractive look to the club forums.

I will take any comments good or bad, I wont mind.

We've actually talked about that.... I like that idea...

I will offer my "Photoshop" Services to edit the pic(s) and we can vote on the one we like the best. I already have the sizes set (am actually working on some banner designs). I do quite a bit of photo editing and Graphic design for fun...

Great! I like the banner we have now dont get me wrong, I just think its a little plain and I know there are a lot of creative members in our club that could out do themselves with a new one. I do like the idea for posting multiple designs and having a poll on them.

No worries... HotDog threw that one up when he created the board... No one has gotten around to actually working on something more "official-like"....

What are the sizes we are dealing with? I'm a Photoshop junkie too, would love to put something together.

I think that this idea is great. I like the current club banner too, but I think this idea is much better

Just save the current banner to get the size.

Maybe we could upload a new one every month of the top 5 racers in the past monthly series

Post up some ideas so we can get the ball moving on this.

Maybe for this month we can do the best liveries from each team (winners will be decided by a vote).

Another month we could have everyone line up in their favorite car on a relatively flat track like Top Gear or the Benchmark Track if we can all access that. Or we can take one of those "Fujimi Waterfall" pictures too.

I think that making multiple banner possibilities and voting on them is a great idea

Maybe I'll grab a photo of some spots that could be nice places for a club photo and I'll post them up here or the photo section on the marketplace

What if we had a photo competition once every month and the winner gets their picture to be the club banner? Just one rule, it would be required to have a U2SC logo in it somewhere.

This was done in Photoshop, but there is nothing 'fancy' about it, you could easily do this (and much more) with the open source version, "Gimp" www.gimp.org

Thanks for telling me what you used. I should try this out!

There's all kinds of stuff you can get for either program...fonts, brushes, patterns, you name it. Currently I've got about 4GB of the above hanging out on my HD, so if you need something, lemme know.

Hope you don't mind swviper but I used your pic to get familiar with the forum administration panel. It took a little more work than I thought but I got it now (I think).

No worries...I will pretty that one up a bit more. I really wanted to work the BMW pic in as well, so I'm in need of a Forza break today already....stupid drift challenge. Give me 15 mins....
