We are in desperate need of some turn-by-turn or section-by-section track walk-through threads... I just posted one for Infineon Long... If you have a track that you have mastered, please provide your tips-n-tricks in a new thread.... Once posted, each thread can serve as a Q&A...

Thoughts?

Sounds good, and if you've got some space in your storefront posting up a quick lap, or just looking up a lap on the leaderboards would help serve as a visual reference! right?

Might as well put this in here. For Motegi, EVO vs WRX:

First turn, drop into 3rd, brake line's still red. Just coast through it. Might tap the brakes. But just a little so I can turn towards the apex in the 2nd half. Then it's full throttle. (I'm going to assume the 2nd half of that turn is turn 2).

Turn 3 - drop to 2nd, when I get past the apex I'm on the throttle.
Turn 4 - full out.
Turn 5 - Still debating whether I want to drop down to 2nd or 3rd. Haven't quite figured out my brake point yet. Guess it all depends on what the heck I'm looking at at the time. It feels like slow corner.
Turn 6 - full out, hugging the curb (this is the slight right).
Turn 7 - brake late, drop to 3rd, aim for inside the apex and just go. I seem to take this at a higher speed than the brake line suggests. I come out on the right side of the track. I'm 50/50 as to whether or not I go to the left side to set up for the next turn.
Turn 8 - might tap the brakes or just let off. Let the turn scrub the speed off.
Turn 9 - I have trouble with this turn. I guess I just don't trust the turn-in of my car. Drop to second, trying to trail brake this one. If I do it right, I drive over the curb inside, full throttle and I go out to the right but don't manage to hit the curb.
Turn 10 - I think the fastest line is following the driving line. Drop to 2nd for this one.
Turn 11 - another in between, either 3rd or 2nd. A bit of trail braking. Try to get over to the right after the turn to set up for 12.
Turn 12 - Full out, aim for inside the corner (the dirt).
Turn 13 - I'm trail braking for this one. And I'm braking much later than the line suggests. Aimed at the dirt for a more straight line approach to 14. I've dropped down to 3rd for this.
Turn 14 - I have problems with this turn. I tap the brakes coming out of 13 and drop to 2nd. I think you need to be on the curb or just inside it and give'r on the way out. I tend to get on it a little too early and end up with my left tires off.

And I can get in the 2:07's pretty consistently.

Good write up Marm... It's spot on.... The gear for the two hairpins will differ between cars based on Torque peak and gear ratios...

This will help for corner reference....

Yep... Just figured I'd drop the chart for others to reference....

The speeds is a "range"... depending on the tune...
