It sure is.... I'd love to replace my aging 2000 Celica GT with one.... I would go with the Toyota, but in the US it's badged as a Scion and does not have the option levels the Subi has....

Engine and Drivetrain were engineered by Subaru and the Body/interior were designed by Toyota! Best of both worlds....

The new 2.0L Boxer 4 is also the base for the new WRX engine. The 2.0LB in the BRZ and FRS/86 is NOT the same 2.0LB in the new base Impreza. The BRZ is also Front Engine and RWD (no AWD), so it's a true sports car, and there are rumors of a STI version already in the works for 2014.... Very Happy
