Demo Durby II
Who would like to participate in another demolition derby? This one is club members only so far and it will be held on saturday, June 9th at the regular time of 10:30 p.m. Eastern time. Damage will only be limited this time and we are also going to throw in a game of cat and mouse on limited damage.
List of rules and restrictions (more may be added in some time)
you must use a roll cage
cars mut be from the USA before 2000
Trucks and SUVs will be allowed
TCS and STM forced off
Cars will be upgraded to class A
There will be 2 teams to choose from (keep in mind that they must be even): Red team and Blue team. The only requirement is that your car has to be your team color so we can identify what team we are hitting.
Pits will be open on tracks that have them.
track list
Camino Viejo de Montserrat mini circuit - Demo durby, 8 minutes (no pit)
Sunset Speedway - Demo Durby, 10 minutes
Top Gear full Circuit - Demo Durby, 8 minutes (no pit)
Hockenheim National Circuit - Cat and Mouse, 3 laps
Red Team

The Raptor is a 2010... That's outside of the year restrictions isn't it?
Give me Team BLUE!!! And I'm going to keep my ride a secret... I learned some interesting lessons last night!

It'll be fun to see the Caddy, the 57 and possibly the T-bird on the grid!

It's actually good to cut it off at 2000... I ran the Hummer last night against the Transit and the jeep... The Hummer came out on top of everything.... It's very easy to drive in reverse and it destroyed everything it hit!
Re: Demo Durby II
yeah the hummer would totally destroy everything. 3+ tons = a lot of destruction.BiggLou55 wrote:beefsupreme42 wrote:really the only suv that is allowed is the GMC Syclone and I can just see that one completely falling apart

I like how this challenge forces you to do the opposite of what you would normally do - High weight and lots of power instead of low weight and focusing on handling

This is true for the most part, but you still need some handling and especially traction...
Re: Demo Durby II
Yeah. I am going to use race tires and max the tire width. Then I will probably upgrade to race springs and use the rest of the PI I have available to upgrade the engineBiggLou55 wrote:This is true for the most part, but you still need some handling and especially traction...

Re: Demo Durby II
Are you going to tune it so it rolls over every time you try to turn? that might actually be useful...BiggLou55 wrote: I've got some tuning secrets on this one!

Re: Demo Durby II

Re: Demo Durby II
Remember.... We have the collective attention spans of a field mouse!
I think we're all concentrating on May week #5 and June week #1 right now... Not to mention your apparent slack off in posts today...
(hint) The key to being a successful post whore is you have to generate conversation where this is none (like you just did )
