Leaderboard Ghosts?

Last night I was going on to practice on Hockenheim and checked the leaderboard. I saw a ton of times and wanted to start off on the lower end and try and work my way up to race some of the faster ghosts. However, when I am looking at the leaderboard, most of the times and names won't let me pick the option of "race this ghost". I usually just see "view gamer card" and "report something or other". SO I just went through the list until I found someone I could race and I was able to race Converge's ghost.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to why I can't race most if not all the ghosts of the times on the leaderboard? I WAS signed into xbox live, so I don't understand what's going on.

There's a way people can turn off saving their ghosts. I don't know how. I just race those with ghosts.

When looking at the LB, it's the second marker from the right that let's you know if there's a ghost or not.

I don't save my ghosts.... It's in the options section in game...

mine doesn't even give me the option to save a ghost...

It's a tricky option... It's basically a Ghosts ON/OFF setting... On means your ghost is saved and your have ghosts available to race against in Hotlap Sessions... OFF means your ghosts is never saved and you will only race against ghosts in RIVALS... I know yours is off because I set you as my rival since you have no ghost (I hate ghosts with a passion)!

so then does turning the ghost setting on let you race other ghosts?

Outside of Rivals, YES!

whatever works for you is fine with me. I'm sure that we have a bunch of club members out there that I can learn from too

I would like that! I find I learn a fair bit from following ghosts laps....so if you are so inclined...they would be used
