So..... I think I'm giving up golf and going to do this... Seriously...

Just watched the Rallycross stuff from the latest Top Gear UK episode, and I have to say I'm already looking into my local SCCA Rallycross stuff. And I'm going to look for a car as well... Hopefully I can start this in the spring!

I will stick with golf. Although my game has gone down the tubes. Just as I was starting to average in the high 90's. (Good enough for me).

Ahh the Top Gear crew, ALWAYS entertaining. Definitely drop golf and do this!!! I used to autocross my Matrix, may get back into it a few years down the road, but I want a dedicated car to do it with, not my daily driver.

The other interesting part with this, is we all have a buddy or two that you know would toss in a few bucks, and you take turns driving from weekend to weekend....thus driving the cost down even further.

I don't golf...well, I did once....ONCE...it was a company event, and I was trashed by like the 8th hole...don't remember a lot after that.

Sadly, since the Nashville SuperSpeedway shut down late last year, there are no rallycross venues around Nashville... I'd have to huff it all the way to Alabama (Huntsville and Birmingham) to race... I guess I'm sticking with Golf... for now!

I watched that and I immediately thought "I am totally going to do this!" don't think they have this kind of racing in america though... I'll have to take a trip to the UK

Nevermind, I saw a small schedule and they have one in michigan and one in missouri. both are a little far away from me though...

Beek, look up the local chapters of SCCA around you. Some of them may be doing it. I know a couple chapters near me do it in New Jersey. Of course, if you can't do rallycross there is always autocross!!

I checked chicago and all they had was a couple car shows and one cruise to a wine shop in wisconsin.... time to check milwaukee

Milwaukee has much more events to attend... maybe I will check it out sometime

LOL.... Autocross and Rallycross are out for me right now... The local track shut down in the fall (Nashville Superspeedway) due to NASCAR being total asshats...

Basically it came down to this... NASCAR wanted the Speedway to add fan seating and they would commit to bring a cup race here. The Speedway said if they commit, they'd build the seating... Stalemate!

The Super Speedway facility is really nice. There is a road course in the middle (like Indy and Sunset in FM4), an Autocross layout in the parking area (big), and a rallycross course on the property...

Nashville and NASCAR have a long and very belligerent history. Goes WAY back to NASCAR racing at the Nashville Fairgrounds and a major falling out. Can't they just get over it and move on? Sheesh!

Milwaukee has a ton of races at Road America... maybe I'll attend one and see if I like it. I didn't see any rallycross courses though...

Most SCCA Rally Cross is on people's private property and on make-shift trails... Check to see if there are any Chicago area or Northern IL Rallycross clubs..

...I dunno...for a Beretta, it's a tough call, could be an improvement....

It's got TWO stripes!!! The angle on that wing is off though... -1 for that!

LOL...I didn't notice the 2nd stripe...definately an improvement then to a stock Beretta.

Agreed, wing angle is not right....I kinda wanna see the front aero now too tho'

My house, we wil throw up tents in the back yard and build the car in a week then haul it to the track.
