Going to IndyCar on Sunday!

The VP of my department at work had two extra tickets to the Indy race this Sunday at Sears Point, and I was the first to claim them. This will be my first time actually attending a pro-level race, as well as my first time actually attending an event at Sears Point / Sonoma Raceway (nee Infineon Speedway).

My wife has a nice, big camera lens so I'll be posting a link to the gallery that I'm sure she'll be putting together. Our seats are along Turn 2, which is right where the track turns off of the uphill climb right after the start-finish line, and it looks like we'll have a view of turns 2, 6 (the big sweeping left-hander), and possibly 8/8a (the windy sort-of-straight) in addition to the wetlands along the San Francisco Bay.

In addition to the Indy race, the day will also include the final race in the Pirelli World Challenge TC and TC B-Spec classes' seasons, so I'll have some photos of these cars as well which can be inspiration/reference for Forza paints.

I went to an ALMS race once. Sat right at the final turn. By the end of the race I couldn't hear squat out of my left ear (where the cars were ripping down the front straight.
