College Football
Coming from here, I have no alma matta. (That's how you spell it isn't it?).
Anybody excited about opening weekend?
I've always liked USC (because of Ronnie Lott), Oregon (just like their uni's) and Michigan (no particular reason, maybe because that's who I saw the most of?).
Otherwise, I root against ND. Just because.

Re: College Football
The universities I attended did not have upper level sports teams, so I usually cheer for the Gators (Florida) because it chaps the asses of all the UT (Tennessee) fans here... But I have backed off a bit over recent years since my wife is a UT alumni...
I will also cheer for Notre Dame, since my high school teams were The Fighting Irish (I went to Catholic School)....

I'm a U of M alumnus! Good choice there. Hopefully they can build on the success of last season after those bleak RichRod years.marmuttlebow wrote:... and Michigan (no particular reason, maybe because that's who I saw the most of?).

Re: College Football
Sounds right. I think they finished #12 last year. Here's the gameplan if you're playing Michigan- Stop Denard Robinson! Think some school would hire me as their defensive coordinator?marmuttlebow wrote:Aren't they ranked #8 rigt now? Not that preseason ranks mean much.
