What Do You Drive In Real Life?

Just wondering what you guys drive in real life?

She's a 2005 Toyota Matrix XRS(hence my GT ) - I'm hoping you guys knew not to expect anything except a Toyota lol.
She is in winter mode still but hope to be done with that in a couple weeks.

Also have a 2004 Ninja 636. I'll try and get a picture of that on here shortly.

And is that a Highlander in the back? Who works for Toyota?

I guess that "sudden acceleration" thing worked to your liking? Who knew a Camry could go fast?

Got no pics, I drive an '02 RSX-S. Not a Honda fanboy, but that's pretty much all I've driven. Go figure.

Haha. I actually did. I was a lot guy for 6 years for Toyota. And just to prove my Toyota enthusiasm. Here's my family vehicle listing:
Dad (outcast) : 96 Ford F-150
Mom: 07 Highlander (the one behind mine in the picture)
Older Brother: 09 Corolla S
Younger Brother: 96 Camry LE V6
Fiancee: 09 Camry LE
Fiancee's Mom: 07 Highlander Limited
Sister in Law: DID have (until my older brother totaled it) an 07 Rav4 Limited, but now has a Forester (which Toyota partners with so it's ok). And they are looking into the Prius C right now lol.

So as you can see, As my profile in Forza shows, I'm a pretty big Toyota guy lol. And everyone on that list got their car because of me talking them into sticking with Toyota or finding the perfect car that fit what they needed except my little Bro who was given his car by my grandpop.

Btw, Marm, is that the RSX with the dual stage Vtec?

Well.... Too keep the Toyota theme alive, I drive a 2000 Toyota Celica GT. I am the original owner, and I would have gotten a GTS, but at the time, I could not afford the $20k+ price tag. It's been a great car and is just shy of 100k miles. Still runs like a champ too. Reason for the low mileage is once my wife and I got married, I pretty much drive it to work and back and the occasional solo excursion. We also have a 2006 Subaru Forester L.L.Bean....

Mine is rather boring.



Its an 03 BMW 3 series Touring, 2.0l Diesel, for its size and age it pulls so well great for embarasing the local boy racers. Even though its an 03 its still quite happy to sit at 120mph on the motorway or if your keen on economy at 65mph it will do 65mpg even when full of family. One of the best cars i've ever owned.

And Lou, glad to see it's still going strong. Mine's an 05 and she's got almost 79K on her! I can't say enough about Toyota's reliability.

You know.... This gives me an idea... What if we do a daily driver series in May? Everyone has to choose a car as close to their daily driver as possible to race... We can determine whether it will be B or A class once we know what the cars will be.... All mods go including engine, drive-train and aspiration.

Thoughts?

Usually drive a Mitsubishi Endeavor, and sometimes an F-150. Not too sexy, but fits two toddler seats and two dogs well :-) At least the 3.8L gives it a little pep. I'd be up for doing a daily driver series, but would have to put an interesting tune together for an SUV.

Toyota reliability is legendary. BMW is not quite as good these days IMO but mine is on 130K and in 5 years I have serviced it 3 times and replaced 2 of the diesel injectors as they were starting to cause problems.

As for a "Daily Drive" series that could be fun, mine is a 3 series so I think an m3 is about the closest

Marm... Your comments made me think a bit (yes it did hurt)... The mix of cars would be vast if everyone chose a "close" car to build....

BUT....

As you alluded to, we could do a specific car each week.... Put up the cars with close matches in game for votes... The top 4 get a weekly spec race.... Hell... We can even have one of the U2SC Mater tuners put tune out there for each car.... A way for them to show off their stuff too... This way it's kinda like a spec series... Everyone is driving the same car with the same tune... the only individual items would be paint and graphics.... So... For example, My contribution would be the Toyota Celica at a B (or A) Class (FWD).... Dougie's would be an 2005 M3 at A or S class... Joe's would be an F150, and so on.... Could be really fun...

And since there isn't a Matrix in game, I guess you would have to choose either the Priius, Yaris, or even better Lexus CT200h (built on the Matrix platform, but is a hybrid badged as a Lexus) wich could be quite fun (racing a hybrid)....

The worst thing about hybrids is the engine noise is pretty much nonexistent. Can't figure out when to shift aside from looking at the tach.

I would love to set up a hybrid series. Think it would be fun to kind of break the routine. Plus I've been looking for a reason to get the crz.

Low... A hybrid series would be cool as well... I kinda like the idea of everyone having the same tune and car for each race... Leaves it totally on the driver's shoulders.... Not to mention driving a different car each week. The good news is that for the more frugal members of the club, most of the cars will be affordable! We could even have "rental" cars in the garage for anyone who doesn't want to mess with it... From the looks of it, we'll also get a good mix of body styles, drivetrains and manufacturers...

As for the DD series I would vote for a single car (single tune or stock) each race then swap to the next one next race. As was said before the only difference should be the paint scheme. We would have to set the series up before ie know how many rounds there will be and what cars will be used.

We may need to move this to another section to continue the series discussion.

And as for picking a Matrix-esque car, it would definitely NOT be the Lexus lol. Your best bet would be to find a Honda hatch w roughly 180hp. Unless we really bump up the Yaris hatch with some mods. Which I am cool with so we can keep it in the family lol.

Technically it is wife's car, however she prefers to drive my 2001 Toyota RAV4 Ltd...I guess that's fair, since I was driving her 2000 Saturn when it got written off (not my fault)

Just got rid of an 08 civic ex (actually wife wrecked it) so now I got the shaft and she gets to drive my 07 tl type s and I bought an integra as my daily (I drive 70+ miles a day)

With the weather getting nicer, and having had a few nice preview days of what's to come....almost time for my 'summer wheels'....can't wait....
