2014 FM4 Casual Weekly Lobby

I want nub to set up his "deafening silence" series. But yes, Monday night was fun. Sorry I left at 1030 but work is getting crazy yet again lol.

Yeah I thought that it would have been a really fun series.

It was a blast racing with you guys again. I am looking foreword to racing again. I like the series races a lot but I'm not as good of a tuner as most of you all. I'll keep trying though.

Ok I suppose we can start off this week by reviving the Evo v. WRX series. Here are the rules if you don't remember:

This week, the race will be 4 laps at Camino Extreme. We will wait until 10:00 eastern time to start this race, but we can do other races in the lobby before this.

I may keep track of points if everybody would like to do some new sort of series race based on this idea.

Can't make it tonight guys. A co-worker is out on fmla so I'm stuck on 2nd shift this week. Have fun you guys.

This is so awesome I could cry.  I too would love to run my "Deafening Silence" series but man.  I don't know how to play console games anymore with a newborn in the house.  By that i mean "perform any action or activity that is not easily interrupt-able or too immersive and distracting."  That, for me, rules out all the console games I play, especially racing games.

Since I'm an addict, though, I've found relief in my 3DS.  Baby cries, close the clam-shell and investigate.  Needs burp?  Close the clam-shell and execute burp procedure.

So on and so forth.  

In short, I'll be playing through JRPG nonsense for awhile but hope to rejoin y'all once she's old enough for things like "a bedtime" and "routines."

Looking forward to tonight, had the disc loaded and ready to jump in last week when a vomitocalypse broke out in our house.  Twelve cleanups later it was 3:30am and everyone was offline.  Tonight looks good though, wife out of town, kids asleep, no puking yet... only problem is my WRX getting owned again by all the Evos.

At least we beat the lone EVO on Monday... Beef was having too many issues...

Sorry for the early bail, but I was so friggin tired... I love that we are doing a weekly lobby again... It's good to hang and race even if only for an hour... ;-)

This week's series race revival will be from March 2012. Here are the requirements:

B class
Mid-engined
RWD
Must be from before 1980 (I think somebody may have to confirm this)

We will do 5 or 6 laps around Maple Valley Full.

Can't wait for monday, hope to see everybody in the lobby!

Sorry I didn't make it last night. I have been feeling sick for the past couple days and because of that I ended up falling asleep on the couch at about 9:00. I will try to make next week's lobby.

What are we doing this coming Monday? May I propose a death race? C class, stock, short track. No hitting in corners lord knows we do that on accident anyway. We can keep the hitting for straights only. Damage on maybe? What do you guys think?

Sounds like a great idea. Should we force assisted braking so there can't be any "forgetting" to brake or do you think that is too much?

Just an idea: since Top Gear is on every Monday night, would everybody be ok with moving this to Tuesday nights until Top Gear is over? I assume that most of us watch it, so it may be a good idea to change the night of the lobby

The only top gear I can watch is on netflix. I don't have cable or satellite and I won't be able to race on any other day but Saturdays Sundays and Mondays because of my work schedule.

Feel free to race on Tuesdays though.

Ok, maybe the solution is to race later on Monday nights. Maybe we can start at 10:00 eastern time and get a few races in.

That's what time we started last night. Death race though needed more people. We actually tried to hit people but with 3 people it was a no go. 10 is great for me, kids and wife are in bed then.

Sorry I've missed the last two weeks... Shit's pretty crazy right now...

Maybe we can retry the death race next week. I really liked the idea
