Had a good night racing last night. Didn't get to do Bob's race but we'll get to it. Next week maybe we can run a Ricky Bobby theme race. Everyone get a nascar car and put a Talladega nights paint job on it. Can be any car in the movie? Figured it would make for good pics. Thoughts?

Sorry about having to abruptly park my Van and go AFK for a few.  My yougnest (almost 6) wet her bed INTENTIONALLY while awake last night...  My wife and I were LIVID!!!  Came back after a while with a tall glass of cold sake and raced a few with Bob, Sniper, Nick and Eric....

Hopefully I will be on next week...

Hey guys....I had fun last night finishing last every race!  I can't run my Speedwheel with a headset (there's no jack spot), hence my not being able to converse during the races last night. I'm not sure about putting a request to join the club, as my time online will be extremely limited with the kids and wife.  Not to mention, I was only on a 14-day Gold trial last night     

Thank you all for letting me race though!  I will certainly try to make it again before the trial expires next week.

Okay, so Beef and I did this, you take the same car for each person, and you have a limited number of upgrades for the car.  For example, we did an '09 BMW M5 and had a limit of 10 race upgrades.  No class restrictions, just an upgrade limit, so it is basically who is the most upgrade savvy.  The reason why this works is because the people that go for high power will excel on the straights but be absolute shit in the corners.  The people that go for all handling will be great in the corners, but won't stand a chance on the straights.  It's all about balance.  But yeah, I liked the idea.

Yeah... I logged on around 10pm EST, but I didn't see a lobby up and only two people playing FM4. I was tired so I didn't even fire up the game.

Really sorry that I have missed a lot of lobbies recently. I have had loads of work to do with research papers, science projects, etc. but I hope I will be able to join in tomorrow night

As long as we get lobbies like we did this week, I am definitely putting them on youtube.  That was great!

That was fun last night...  I really liked opening the Lobby with a set challenge...  WE should probably make sure that we have some more cars in the club garage for them though...

That was pretty cool having close to a full field last night.  Also, up until last night I didn't know you could pluck cars from the Club Garage to use in races....so, as somebody that has NO time to tune setups, that was much appreciated.  Also, as I haven't figured out a way to use my wireless speedwheel and chat at the same time, I want to publicly apologize for the shunt I administered on the first last at Mugello last night.  Certainly not my style!

The only way to do it Nick is to get the MS Wireless Headset (it's just like a little bluetooth headset)...  I have it and I LOVE it.  Best single ear HS to use on the Xbox IMHO.

The wifey certainly will not allow another peripheral purchase, as I just picked up the Wireless Tritan Kunai headset for $100.  The only option I can see is signing in under another profile using the normal controller, hooking up my headset to that, and then racing under my main profile with the wheel.  Why does Micro$oft have to make everything difficult?

That won't work...  You'd need a second XBox Live account and you'd take up a second slot in the lobby...

TBH, the Speed wheel is fun (As is the FANATEC Wheel), but the controller is top dog in FM4...  For Lobbies, you could just use the controller until your wife does sign off on the Headset...  ;-)

You can tell her it doubles as a Bluetooth headset for your Cell Phone (which it does)...

Last night was great. I loved the first turns at road America, I would like a picture of that and how tight we were. This next Monday races sound fun. Not sure about drifting but it I will try.

Finally got some more Gold so I will definitely be up for some casual racing       I miss the good old days of weekly series races.

Last night was awesome, especially when I was somehow able to get 2nd with caillou haha. Can't wait till next week!

It was a lot of fun, and I think the one drifting run we did was fun.  Just long enough, but not too long. ;-)

I'm also going to start a new thread for each week...  I will start a new thread with all of the info you see above...

Closing this thread now.  I will be starting threads for each week's casual race (next monday's is already up).  This will help us find stuff relevant o a certain week, as well as post photos, videos and have post race discussion on a particular week.
