Re: Happy Launch Day!
Dash, I would've said "when my game arrives", but with all the screwups, it would've been Tuesday at best.
Long story short, I went to BestBuy and grabbed a copy. When the kids are put, I will be playing FH until it's Oct race time. Hopefully the 360 doesn't freeze.
In any case, most nights I'm on around 9.

Re: Happy Launch Day!
I finally got to play single player for a few consecutive hours today. FIFTY FOUR MESSAGES WHEN I SIGNED IN. Speed traps, man. Speed traps.
I think I am going to be using the controller pretty often. The manual for the wheel says to give it a break after a solid hour of play but a solid hour would rarely happen in FM4. I can see it happening every time I turn on my 360 with Horizon.

I'm jealous. I don't know when I'll be able to get FH. Depends on when my wife gets a job and other stuff.

Wow... I just noticed your age and realized that my forum picture was taken when I was 32. I'm leaning on a jeep in that photo.

I thought I'd add a more recent picture. Smoking a cigar on the back porch.

LOL.... It was a challenge of sorts... See... the only way to mute the friggin speed camera messages it to post times well above what what any of you guys can match... At least that's my plan!
Doli... It's nice.... I've got full aero on it right now, but I may make 2 set-up sfor it.. one with and one without aero....

That's badass! Do you often find yourself playing CCR's "Lookin' Out My Backdoor" on repeat?

Hadn't thought about that. Good idea.

I've got 9 million CR sitting around, maybe its time to buy one of them... this could turn into a great challengeBiggLou55 wrote:I may start beating you guys... Aventador J with ALL upgrades sitting in my garage... I was too tired last night to start attacking all of the speed cams and zones!

The J maxes out at R1 953 or something close... I've got race aero on it, and it's not much over 230/40 MPH.... I'm going to drop the race Aero and see how fast it will go... It's a lot of fun to drive though!

Re: Happy Launch Day!
Maybe there is another thread for this...but I'm not actually loving this game, not sure why. I enjoyed demo, but after a few hours with it, I'm already kinda 'over it'. I did a few 'Rivals' when they popped up initially, but quickly lost interest in that.
I've gone and messed with settings, things still feel weird. Done a few barn finds, done some outpost stuff...hitting signs for parts discount. I dunno...it's 'alright'....but I'm not addicted to it like I was FM4. Haven't hooked up wheel yet...no desire to either really.
Am I missing a magic setting that is going to turn me on to this game?

No, there ain't no thread. And I share your views. I'm playing it. I'm alright with it. But I'm not falling hard for this game.
My fun was in the mini race. I've got it set to sim steering. For that, a wheel would help out immensely. I managed to have the rear whipping side to side as when trying to correct on a controller results in overcorrection.
That aside, setting it to sim steering made the cars feel much more responsive and more towards FM. I certainly did not enjoy the nanny'ness of this game. I say this yet put me in an R3 or above and I've got problems.
I'm still playing it. Gonna get as much of it before I get bored with this game. In hindsight, I'm actually surprised that FM4 has held me this long. I don't typically continue to play games a year after purchase. My short attention span doesn't allow such things.

Re: Happy Launch Day!
This is where my MMORPG versus Single Player RPG comes into play....
FM4 is just HUGE when compared to FH... Online MP is where it's at in FH. I'm just blasting through SP for money and cars... Once I'm done with SP, I'll be sticking to MP and Rivals....
FM4 is still my primary of the two... I'm just investing a lot of time in FH right now to finish all of the SP stuff...

I'm laughing hard and maniacally. Perhaps I'm an evil genius?
But back to the topic. I'm really enjoying Horizon but do worry about its longevity. I don't know that I'll buy the season pass because having more cars seems kind of pointless. I'll definitely get the expansion though.

Re: Happy Launch Day!
Already grabbed the Season Pass... I like having more cars and I already had the MS points to do it.... I'm looking forward to the Rally expansion... I'm hoping we get some pure rally cars (new and old) with it too...!
