Monday, 24-Mar-2014 U2SC Casual Race - 3-Strikes

Lobby Start Time: Between 9:30-10pm Eastern

Monday night this week was lot of fun (even if Beef was chattier than usual ;-) ), and kudos to everyone who stuck in there for the drift race.  That said, I think we're going to make that a closing tradition...  A 6-lap drift race..  No pressure, no limits, just fun...

As for the next session, in keeping with the ~1 hour of racing, here is what we are going to do...  Triple Class Euro Assault!

Group #1: FWD Cars Only - D-Class
- Race 1 - Rally di Positano (reverse) - 4 Laps
- Race 2 - Iberian Short - 4 Laps

Group #2: AWD Cars Only - B-Class
 - Race 3 - Camino Viejo Full (not extreme) - 4 Laps
 - Race 4 - Nuremberg GP Short - 4 Laps

Group #3: RWD Cars Only - S Class
 - Race 5 - Catalunya GP (full) 4 Laps
 - Race 6 - Silverstone GP (full) 4 Laps

Finale: 6-Lap Open Drift (collision off) @ Ladera Track (full) - (If you don't like drifting, or never tried, this is a great way to start, practice and ask questions)

I will make sure that there are cars in the club garage for each race.  I should actually already have them built.  Just need to slap a livery on them for the share!  ;-)  ....  Drifters, please help out the others with some drift cars in the club garage.

Edit: also, i'll be adding a few of the easier cars to learn to drift with into the club garage; i think the only cars i have in there now are unicorns so anything else should be for drifting.

I will try again to join in next week. I will be sharing a few drift cars tonight for you guys to try out. 

One question, do the awd cars need to be factory or are converted cars ok?

Shared 3 drifters tonight, all have "drift" license plates. Toyota Supra with Nitto graphics and blue/red/gray flip flop paint. Nissan Silvia K's blue with carbon fiber hood and trunk. Nissan Skyline with Alpine stars graphics and multicolored paint. Enjoy!

The cars just have to be FWD, AWD or RWD at the start of the race.  It doesn't matter what they started life as.

Short answer: Conversions are acceptable...  ;-)

No Beef..  Pay attention...  Only the last race is a drift and it's open.  You are welcome to drift a FWD car if you wish.

The rest are of the races are good ole circuit.

I think I will drift a FWD car. I can't really be any worse, right?

Ummmm....does that mean I can restrict the races to S-class Mustangs only?   

After we finish with the races Sure...  For you B-Day, it will be S-Class Mustangs!  ;-)

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the opportunity to race Stangs only!  Other than the hour's worth of waiting around, it was fun once again....and sorry for the incidents I caused.  Racing and fatigue are not good bedfellows.
