in the wild!
I just saw a Shelby Daytona on the way home from work! Obviously it was a kit car but still awesome nonetheless. It had the circle 98s and everything but was black/white instead of blue/white. It was stopped across the way from me at a red light and I thought to myself, "What the hell is that? Could it be?!?" Slowly drove by and saw that distinctive elliptical tail end. Not something you see every day.

Factory Five Racing makes the best shelby kits in the world!! You probably say a Type-65 Coupe....

Re: in the wild!
We saw some great cars on our trip out west, especially in California. Managed to snap pictures of a few. This one was one of the highlights, a 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS:

I would think you'd be tempted to try to get that vanity plate if you owned this car, even with the blue paint.

Re: in the wild!
I have a BlackBerry, and it sucks....but it should do the trick to take pics...the problem is, it's not easy to 'get into'. Saw a GT3 around the corner from my house the other day, that was really nice.

Re: in the wild!
I'll have to take a pic the next time he's there, but our neighbor accross the street dates a guy who drives a jet black Bentley Continental GT... I'm so used to seeing it, I forget that it's not an "everyday" car LOL... I'll post a pic in the next few days... Maybe I'll even sneak my car into it, since he usually parks it in front of our house!!!
Re: in the wild!
the guy who owns the indian restaurant down the street from me has one of those and my neighbor has a ferrari (don't remember which one though) so I will try to get a few pictures of thoseBiggLou55 wrote:I'll have to take a pic the next time he's there, but our neighbor accross the street dates a guy who drives a jet black Bentley Continental GT... Re: in the wild!
Man, y'all have seen some better rides than I have. My favorite to catch these days is the Audi R8 -- there are a couple in town and I love seeing them. I'd also like to see a Lexus LFA even though I hate Lexus...I just want to hear it!
I might get my hands on an MP4-12C someday. There's a local exotic car rental place in town and they've announced that that car is being added to their fleet. I've already driven their Gallardo and am driving the F430 on the 21st of the month. Any of y'all wanna come down to Austin and spend a weekend doing their Dream Drive? Hehehehe.

Re: in the wild!
Saw a Fisker Karma parked outside a restaurant last night. I would've clicked a picture but all the valet parking guys were around and watching me. Very good looking car.

Re: in the wild!
that is perhaps cooler than seeing a pack of lambos or an MP4-12C just based on how few there are on the road

Re: in the wild!
Yeah, I would have done it anyway had I realized what I was looking at. It caught my eye and I said "whooaaa pretty", and then I looked at the badge and, in all honesty, had never heard of it before. Shortly after we left, while parked outside a store my wife had to run into, I starting googling on my phone and thought "well, damn it".
Very "long" and beautiful looking car.
