Idea submission for the september race series

My Series idea is pretty much complete... but I keep my Series until I have an month to organize but there are some nice ideas in this thread. It will be interesting to see what will be choosen from that list.

Haha yeah but whenever I do rub on people I dont mean it. Unintentional contact is legal in racing! Sometimes its needed to make a close pass.

If we run a spec series, I think we should try the tuning contest Lou and Frank were going to do this series but open it to every one. So one guy tunes, 2-3 people per team and they have to use the tuners tune and cars have the same paint, excluding minor details such as driver numbers.

How about R3-800 GT3 and GT2 cars?

thats a great idea. we have a few pretty good tuners in the club like mark eric and me. it would be fun to split everybody up into teams like that for a spec series

a tuner series will be hard.... That's why I scratched it for this month... Tuning is VERY personalized, and that would mean SF only tunes by the tuners, but there is no way to validate the use of the correct or eligible tune.. And that would give a huge advantage to the tuners, since they drive-test-drive-test etc...

Also.... Doing custom tunes for multiple people takes a TON of time.... Time is something that I'm having less and less of lately....

People can test drive tunes to pick which tuner they want to use? There's no way to validate, but I'm pretty sure everyone here would stick to it if they opted in, we can still run the 'regular' series along side where people can use their own. And as for the test driving, tunes can be gifted as updates are made, team mates test them, then give feedback?

Yea Lou is right tuning is very personalized and requires TONS of feedback from the driver(s).

It's also a time thing Hotdog.... I would have to opt out of being a tuner for the series... It takes a lot of time to set up individual tunes for people. Not to mention that I get confused with driving due to driving so many different cars and tunes (this is actually plaguing me this month). If I had more time to play, it would be different, but I already spend most of my FM4 time in the tuning shop or testing tunes.... That's not a bad thing because I love to tune, but when the tunes back up, it becomes more work than fun.

I LOVE the idea of an R3 GT car series! I've become quite a fan of the JDM, Euro and NA GT cars... Especially the Porsche GT cars, McLaren MP4-12c GT, and new Corvette C6-R ALMS!

I'd also like to see some sort of S-class Series.... Maybe a global spec series? One car from each Manufacturer or Country or Region or something?
