I ran franks tune for a couple laps this am, the time was not the problem, clean was. I'm not used to this layout, will maybe try it again tonight.

Re: August Bounty Hunter
Don't use the SF tune that's the 'most downloaded'. Toggle to the highest rated and you'll find some much better tunes, imo.

I agree, if I remember correctly the top download tune says it is for the Rival, costs thousands of dollars to upgrade your vehicle with extra parts and then when you try to load it in the rival, says that it is not eligible due to restrictions. I spent somewhere around 50000 fredits for nothing.

Yes, i suspect that the person edited the description of the tune so that everyone would buy it again the rivals challenge. It had been downloaded like 1500 times last week.

Apparently (according to the FM forums) he's running as I type this, sitting at 1:20.259. What the hell?

Okay, so 1:20.259 in his final time. BUT:
I'm moving on, but there it is ...Hey everyone, so I didn’t read the rules template very well and thought the contest went until 8pm not 8am. So I’m going to push the end date to Friday the 17th at 8am. Fred is going to be mad at me, but I want to give everyone a fair chance to beat my time.

Well that sucks. I might give it another shot but I don't think I can get down that low.

I agree, I don't need the car but I used to enjoy the challenges. Ever notice that the total number of people participating is dwindling, after each rival? Is it maybe because people are fed up with the way they handle these contests?

Re: August Bounty Hunter
I think that the reason why less people are participating is because they are so slow to gift out the cars and the people who are the bounty always improve their time by a bunch right as the event ends. both of those combined can be very frustratingFischs3 wrote:beefsupreme42 wrote:thats just great, I spent half an hour improving my time last night and I see this... oh well, not like I cared much for the reward car, I just like to winshinnsoon wrote:Okay, so 1:20.259 in his final time.

Re: August Bounty Hunter
That is how I feel. I used to look forward to new Rivals events and try my best. Now I would rather do other things like play games with my boys. My time playing Forza has diminished considerably. I still enjoy racing with the club however and I wish I could participate in the August series, I just haven't had time lately, maybe Friday night.

It's also because the vocal majority in the Forums are actually the minority opinion for the most part... If you even mention that you dislike last minute time updates, you get flamed to death...
I'm with you guys... I really don't like the set-up... BUT.. I do like the way Phred did it last month... Set a time to beat for the unicorn halfway through (at the latest), then have side contests for other stuff...

Re: August Bounty Hunter
Okay, I did it. Couldn't get the last .200 with Frank's tune so I tried VVV Worm's for awhile. Whittled it down to 1:20.409 but it still wasn't enough. Then Frank gets on and tells me he updated his tune. Six laps later I put up 1:20.221!!! Frank, you rule! Thanks a bunch.

As soon as I give my wife her perineal massage and put her to bed, I'm going to give this a go. Can you send me the tune X-ray or frank
