Yep.... That is the first thing I am going to do in-game.... Setup Up 2 Speed Customs.... I may be working from home that day as well....

I just realized I'll be getting the game delivered to me so I probably wont get the game until a week after it comes out! booo!

If you ordered from Amazon, they usually ship so it arrives on release day...

EDIT: as a matter of fact, I just checked and my Est. Delivery date is 10/23, which just so happens to be the release date!

Are you paying for that? Amazon has ninja'd out their free release day delivery and replaced it with "two-day shipping = release day shipping". Amazon Prime members get two-day shipping for free. So...if you want games, subscribe to Prime.

That makes me grumpy, but not grumpy enough to go to GameStop. I'll pay the extra to have it on release day, but I can't justify the $80 for a year of Prime.

Nope, I ordered it from amazon and my estimated delivery date is October 30-November 3. I am not a prime member and chose free shipping. Kind of a bummer but that's okay. I can wait a week.

What the hell?

I typically order from BT Games, since they tend to get special editions and pre-order bonuses if available and there's a store close to where I live. And I like to support them because gaming is all they do.

But we have an online-only retailer called kalahari.com which is a lot like Amazon. There's also Takealot.com which is similar, just more specialised in terms of products. I know for a fact that Takealot delivers at your door on release day (26 Oct in SA) at no extra charge (because the price exceeds a certain minimum amount), as long as your pre-order by the 24th. I'm pretty sure kalahari does as well. How is this possible in a Third World country and you have to wait a week? Something seems very wrong ...

Amazon wants you to buy their "prime" service so they drag their feet on sending stuff out. It didn't used to be that way. No tax plus free shipping is still the best deal around, even if there is a delay.

We went prime last year, and have probably saved HUNDREDS of dollars... It's worth it with the free 2-day shipping and access to all the free streaming! There are also the Prime discounts which rock... Last Christmas paid for the prime membership in the discounts and shipping alone! I highly recommend it!
