The Moose Run: Adam "xXhpi racingXx" Mitchell Memorial Event Discussion Empty The Moose Run: Adam "xXhpi racingXx" Mitchell Memorial Event Discussion

Post by BiggLou55 Wed Nov 28, 2012 2:06 pm

To ALL club Members new and old,

As all of you know by now, we lost one of our dearest members on Thanksgiving Day to Leukemia. Adam "xXhpi racingXx" Mitchell was within 2 months of his 20th birthday when he passed, and he will be missed terribly. One of Adam's best and life-long friends, "xII CASE IIx" is also a member of the club. Our hearts go out to Adam's family and Friends!

While Adam when by the gamer tag "xXhpi racingXx" on Xbox, he had another nickname in real life. "Moose"... And so we shall hold a U2SC Racing event called "The Moose Run". Adam's favorite cars (in Real Life and in Forza) are the Subaru Impreza WRX line, so this event will be a Subaru WRX (STi, 22B or S204) ONLY event (Except where bouncy Jeeps or wheelie cars need to appear! Very Happy )...

This is as far as I've gotten with this idea, so I'd like to hear from the rest of you.... What should we do? Fujimi? I was thinking this would be an entire evening of racing and fun where people can come and go as they please.... Thoughts? Ideas? I'd love to have a full docket of activities planned... Whether we get to all of them, is a different story!

Cheers!

Events List:
  1. 30 minutes of Fujimi (Times Race - No Damage so the replay can be used for photos and videos) using Subaru's (any STi, 22B or S204) - This will be the #35 retirement run and may feature music selected by Case (I think he has a some in mind).... We will also gather at the waterfall for a group photo set-ups...
  2. Three 2 minute Tag (Pass the IT) Heats using Bouncy Jeeps
  3. Three 2 minute Tag (Virus) Heats using Subaru's (any STi, 22B or S204)
  4. Two 5 minute Top Gear Soccer matches using Bouncy Jeeps
  5. Three Rounds of Cat-n-mouse using only Subaru's (any STi, 22B or S204).... Cats are S-Class... Mice are A-Class... Tracks are Cat Extreme (3-laps), Nurburgring Nordschleife (1-lap) & Maple Valley Full Reverse (3-laps)
  6. Fujimi Drift heats using Subaru's (any STi, 22B or S204)??? Thoughts on this one???
  7. ...
  8. ...
  9. ...

Note: To all Tuners and Painters... Lets all start tuning and painting ALL of the possible Subaru choices (all STi, 22B and S204) as well as some kick ass Jeep Designs.... Also... Sniper or Beef... I need that bouncy tune for the Jeeps.. I will be working on getting a bunch of tunes together for the Scoobies and the Jeep!

OK.... I've added an events list to discuss and add to as well as some other information....

Part of what we will be doing is retiring Adam's club racing number... #35 ... Not sure how we'll do this yet (outside of stating it's retired), but we'll figure it out!

As far as retiring his number, I say we all run a #35 on everyones car of the fk 2 lap run. Maybe make the first lap a lap of silence for remembrance?

We could actually do the FK run with no damage for reply photo ops... this way we get photos of the undamaged design... I like that actually.. I'll change it! Great idea Low!

Yeah and you don't even have to make it a race. We could just do a cruise or something.

I will send out the #35 that I have to everybody on my friends list. I am assuming that somebody else will probably have to gift it out to the rest, but I think I have most, if not all, of the core group on my friends list. Maybe we could do something with his VW beetle - maybe 10 heats of virus on Benchmark layout A like we did that one time Very Happy

I was not fortunate enough to meet Adam seeing that I joined you guys a few days too late. However, this is a great idea to honor your friend and I would love to be apart of it. Count me in!

Maybe change it from 30 minutes to 35 minutes to honor his number? Extra 5 minutes wont hurt but not sure if it can be set that way. Probably not so good of an idea anyway. I like how the event list is shaping up so far though!

I know I've been sketchy with making races (Skyrim has now officially taken control of my mind), but when a date is set for this would you Lou (or anyone else) please message me? No way I want to miss this one.

One of the main reasons I haven't been playing Forza much recently (besides Skyrim) is I find it difficult to stop thinking about Adam, and then I'm just not really in the mood to play. Think this is a great idea and will provide an appropriate send-off for a guy we'll all really miss, and perhaps will get me back on track as well. Hope to see everybody out there!!

What do you guys think about running this Saturday night this weekend? It's going to be our only chance to run before New Years (I think)... If there are other suggestions, please post them here....!

I should be able to do it. Just won't have a car lookin' all respectable.

And I got nothin' for suggestions. Any idea what car he ran during the monthly races? Perhaps we can redo some of those events in his car? (Whichever one it was he ran).

He did... He ran the 22B mainly, as well as the 2004 and 2005 STi... He also built an S204, but I don't think he ran it...
