FM4 U2SC Championship

I finished my testing last night and I have my list of cars I will be using:

S class Infineon: Porsche 911 GT3 (997)
S class Nurburgring: McLaren MP4-12C
R3 class Catalunya: Mosler MT900S
R3 class Road America: Koenigsegg Agera

My Koenigsegg is over 3 seconds slower around Road America than my Mosler, but for some reason I just want to use it for that track.

For whoever will be running the normally scheduled Saturday race lobby, laps for each race are as follows:

S class Infineon Long 6 laps
S class Nurburgring (Nordschleife) 1 lap
R3 class Catalunya Grand Prix Circuit 6 laps
R3 class Road America 5 laps

I was wondering how you could get a Koenigsegg to go faster than a mosler,

nobody will touch you on the long straight.

I want to see you manage turn 11. aka, the kink.

Yeah...  That Mosler you guys used in the GT3 Supercar series was NASTY fast!

yeah, the Agera is a monster on the straights, but it isn't quite as great in the corners. I can take the kink rather quickly, but I do have to brake and downshift to make it through. I also can't shift lower than 3rd gear because the tail end will kick out if I do.

It looks like I will be running in a Make up race with Beef for this week...  My wife has informed me we are going out on a date Saturday night...  If I don't make it, someone will need to host and save the replays for Beef...

Beef or I will host a make up session Sunday night or one night next week....

I will host Saturday night at 10 pm est

I can do either Wednesday or Friday for sure next week. Whichever is better for you will work for me, Lou.

by going off. I put up a solid 1.39 lap only to see sniper continue to pull away with a 1.37

sniper and I had a drag race to the first turn, which he nosed out. I gained on him during
sector two, the twisty stuff, while he pulled away during the straights. I kept it close for several laps but then hit a rough patch and that 50 yd lead turned into 8 sec.

road America

boston took the lead at the start with his koenigsegggg, but failed to negotiate the first turn, I ran some of the fastest laps I have ever done on that track but was no match for sniper as he won easily.

sniper may consider running in the make up race to improve his overall time as his ring time and road America were mistake ridden due to lack of concentration because of his huge lead early on.

I think that sniper is going to dominate everybody else's time on the nurburgring (I would say he also has a great chance of winning this week). I was running an 8:04 in practice with my McLaren, but I never concentrate nearly as much in the actual races as I do in practice... Anyway, thanks for the results, reus!

When is the make up race, Beef?

I'm thinking Wednesday will be the make up race at the usual time of 10:00 eastern time

I feel like I'm going to screw up on the Nurburgring in the make up race.  I'm always nervous when I run it (even though it is my favorite track) because there are so many places to go off or roll.

If you turn down the bump stiffness in the tuning menu, you shouldn't have to worry about rolling as much. I think that is why my Porsche 911 GT3 kept rolling - I had the bump stiffness around 7 when it should be between 2.5 and 3.5

I usually set bump stiffness between 1.9 and 2.1.

This can be quite the adventure on bumpy surfaces as grip and braking can become quite unpredictable, but most tracks in forza  4 have ultra smooth blacktop.

The only bothersome tracks for me are the ring and Nurberg.

on the plus side, it is extremely difficult to roll the vehicle and I can attack rumble strips with impunity

10 is looking very dicey for me, but I should be able to join at some point tonight.  As long as I get to run my 4th-themed Audi on Catalunya, I'll be happy.  Have to make a quick run to the store, see you guys in a bit!

LoL...I had no clue wtf we were doing last night, sorry...it was awesome to get on with you guys again tho.  I think I was't supposed to use some of the cars I did, but in terms of the races last night, I was't much of a threat to anyone...except for Cat. where I forgot the Ultima is not renowned for it's ability to turn at a zillion mph.

In terms of overall standings, I should prolly be knocked down a few for using wrong car(s)

Actually, it was just restricted to supercars for last night, so you were fine. It was great to have you back on the track

for this weeks stock cars I will be using the Ford Fusion.

I have a custom paint so not every car will look the same.

also I raced in a custom  online lobby R3 indy oval the other day, insane, fast with crashes all over the place. This weekend should be a hoot.

Beef, Sniper and I did a quick 3-lap preview after the races last night.  Only three of us, only three laps, yet think we still ended up with about five crashes.  This is gonna get ugly, but in a fun way.  There's only one real line around an oval, so when the guy in front of you hits the wall, well, get ready to eat some bumper 'cause you can't get out of the way quickly enough.  I'm definitely going to come up with a terrible livery for this one, and may try to tune up a Monte Carlo so we don't have only Fords racing...

I think that anybody will have a good chance at getting first place this week - it is going to be entirely unpredictable. That being said, I think we need to make some rules for being lapped because that will be happening a lot. Do you think we should make them go outside or inside for this?

Got my Fusion tuned up and ready to go...  This week I am bringing back the wheel..  I've been practicing each week, and I'm now pretty close to my times on the controller.  I would have run the wheel last week, but I spent so much time tuning, I had zero time on the wheel....  This week I'm .2 off my fastest time with the controller on Infineon... 

• Race 1: R3 class Sedona Oval = 0:29.569 (tapped out)
  
• Race 2: R3 class Sunset Speedway = 0:42.680 (but I think there is lots of time to gain here)
  
• Race 3: R3 class Infineon Nascar = 1:13.635 (CRAZY ride - avg time in the low 1:14.xx)
  
• Race 4: R3 class Indy Brickyard Speedway = 0:47.060 (tapped out)
  

As far as being lapped, it's up to the passer to call it out...  Call inside or outside depending on the situation....
