I forgot about that... I know I am sticking with the IS350 for Sebring, but I may have to try that out on Sunset...BiggLou55 wrote: but the IS300 can be upgraded to the IS-F's V8...

the 190E should be great on sebring. I was also going to try out the M5, but I haven't tuned it yet...MFKR RAMBO wrote:e28 m5 or the 190e for the B race for me and that is the only decided one I have at this point.

Actually... The IS300 with an upgraded stock engine ROCKs on both Sebring and Sunset for me... Just not enough PI headroom on the IS350 for my tuning tastes, and both tracks demand med-high speed handling and controlled acceleration....
As for LeMans, I will be driving the Aston Martin Rapide!
Both B and the C class races I will be in the IS300 unless my "other" option pans out with test/tune/test/tune/test/tune....
Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
I will be running
C class- Altezza rs200
B class- Merc C32 , for sunset
And Mazda familia for Sebring
A class- Aston rapide or ? I'm trying to figure out top speed or handling?

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
I think im going to go with the IS300 for c class, an Alfa Q4 and an evo for b class, and so far ive been getting the best times with the C63 AMG for a class but i have a few more cars id like to try.

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
I was surprised to run a 1:15 on sebring in my IS350 - I thought it would be too heavy and tail-happy to be good on that track, but it is actually really clean. It smoked the IS300 and the S60-R for me. As for Sunset, I really have no clue right now - this track calls for acceleration, but I can't seem to get what I want out of the cars I've tried. I'm thinking maybe '96 Chevy Impala? I really have no clue with this one...

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
C - Sentra
B - Audi S4
B- Sentra
A - Audi RS6
this list is subject to change without notice.
I didn't even think of the lexus, might be fun to race with dual climate
control, leather seats and sat nav.
I wanted the BMW M5 for lemans but no matter what I do it is to slow.
I am currently investigating my Acura TSX to see if it can have a go
in any class.
The Impala just didn't have the handling I need so I sold it back to the
dealership. There is truth to the depreciation once you drive it off the lot.

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
If you would like Beef, I have a solid E28 M5 tune that I constantly run I can send you and you can test out and tweak or start from scratch. So far just about every track I have ran it on, its top 1% with a few in the 2 and 3% range for B series.

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
that would be great rambo, thanks! I tried it out last night with a base tune that I made and I was running low 1:14's consistently, but I didn't like the way it felt. I'm sure that yours will feel better because it just feels like it is sticking too much in the corners.
that being said, I am switching to the E28 M5 for both B class races - I feel that the tune I have for Sunset is really solid for how much I had to put into the acceleration.
I still haven't tuned anything in C class yet, but based on the stats of what I have bought, it looks like I will be sticking with the IS300
I also tuned my E63 AMG for Lemans and I was able to hit 220+ of the mulsanne strait, right now the only problem is stopping it...

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
Just did a quick 5 lap test on both tracks. Sunset ran a 1:09.8xx and on Sebring I ran a 1:16.1xx. Quick tests on two configurations I have never ran before. If you do try that tune out, Sunset will need a little more gear thrown at it. Started bouncing limiter on turn one entry.
30min later....
Just did a quick test session with my 190 merc and Sebring was about the same with flat 16s but Sunset I ran a second faster at mid 08s.

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
Again, tons of fun! Might not be winning, but it seems like we have two groups of skill level so even if I am in the rear there are still a couple of others to battle over not getting last place.
Now... go get some money for those expensive cars in a few weeks. Also need to tune some S class cars, my highest one is the Rabbit and its not even maxed out the PI.
Also, I call foul on the LeMans race... someone parked a car in front of me like 3 times :p

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
Great fun last night... Seems that a lot were tuning for pure speed which made it interesting for those of us (like) me that tuned for balance handling/speed with a lean towards speed...
Cat National was a good race, and I was fortunate to be out in front at the start; however, due to my "issues" on laps 3 & 4, Beef caught and passed me... If not for the issues, I probably would have taken the race by 4+ seconds... Great race Beef! What were my "issues"? For whatever reason, I had a case of the nerves. I haven't been like that since when I started racing with the club, and I don't know where the hell that came from. I wish I could blame it on my failing controller, but that was ALL me...
Sunset was interesting, and is where the pure speed tunes came out. My 190E was turning competitive lap times, but, due to my lack of acceleration and top end, I was passed by most at the start and was yoyo'ing my way through the field. There were a few hairy moments caused by me, and for that I am sorry. Special apology to Menes who I just about took his front bumper off when I tried an ill-advised pass on the inside. Contact was missed by fractions, but I'm sure I scared the crap out of him. Once I cleared the field, I was able to increase the gap, but was unable to close on Beef and Sniper all that much. But my car was quick and handled like it was on rails... Speed tunes won the day here...
Sebring saw more speed tunes, but they were not as effective as on Sunset (except for Beef's BMW)... I ran the same 190E and was able to bypass the 1st corner shenanigans with an inside line.... But this is when something weird started to set in (probably before but I didn't put it together). My left trigger on my controller started to flake out. My braking was becoming inconsistent, and I was all of the sudden under-braking 25% of the time. That caused me to go off the track a few times... I was able t o battle through it and ended up in a VERY distant 2nd to Beefs bimmer....
Le Mans went exactly how I pictured it. Some EXTEREMELY fast but VERY poor handling cars (beef and sniper), and then the rest of the field running between 180-200 mph on the straight with moderate handlers in the corner. I made a last minute change and ran the Chevrolet Impala SS, for which I am very glad I did. It was a BLAST to drive, and I think Eric (the other impala) and I surprised everyone with how fast it is and how well it handled... Unlike Eric (who ran at lest front race aero), I didn't run any aero. I think that made the difference. I still had a handling PI of 6.0, which was one of the best in the field. I squeaked out a 3rd place win here with a last minute pass on Bob in the final set of turns. My left trigger REALLY started acting up during this race and ended up in the sand or a wall several times. I might have been able to stay ahead of Sniper w/o the issue, but Beef and his Rapide Missile were GONE after lap 1...
Great fun last night....! Next week WAGONS!!

Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
Can anybody who saved the races send me the replays? I forgot to save them.
I had a lot of fun. There was a lot of close racing from the fourth spot and back on every race it seemed,,,, well maybe not on Le Mans. I could always here crunching in the back ground and knew that Boston was back there zooming in on me ,which made me want to go a little bit faster:)

For week 5 yes... week 6 is sports cars... I'll post the list next Saturday... Tha races have been LOTs of fun so far!
Re: FM4 U2SC Championship
So... I just watched all of the replays with telemetry up, and I my brakes never got above 1/4 pressure each time I went off in the last two races... I know I pressed harder (to my braking point - I know where it is.. )... So... It looks like my controller if f-ed up... Thankfully I have a backup wired controller and I need to get back to using the wheel anyway...
