Re: General FM5 Thread
Actually I just remembered that I probably can't do saturday. Is there any way that we can move it to friday night?

Re: General FM5 Thread
FM5 just drop $10 to $39.99 on Amazon... I have a funny feeling FM5 will fade away.. FM6 will most likely be the game most of us get to... I won't be getting an Xbox One any time soon (unless I get one for free)...
I keep hearing that the the cars seem to have too much oversteer... Is this true?

Re: General FM5 Thread
tuning is a lot more difficult than in forza 4 and there is more oversteer on accelerator liftoff and hard breaking. under steer is a problem too and not just on FWD vehicles.
I would tune a car in forza 4 and would test it against any tune and it would be just fine.
Now, tuning is more complex in ways I haven't figured out yet, weight transfer is more complex causing me grief
as corner entry, exit, hard breaking and heavy acceration are causing problems.
But with tuning and effort the oversteer can be removed. Some tuners have done nearly every car in the game.
Car magazines talk about engineers putting in understeer in their car designs but they don't deal with button mashing forza fanatics.
GT Worm has a tune for almost every car in the game and with the exception of FWD and AWD his tunes are superior to mine in almost every case. The new controller is ultra sensitive and may provide some of the problems people are experiencing.
The F2000 car I got my racing licience this summer would have oversteer if you carried to much speed into the corners. Hard breaking in that car would cause the rear end to go loose, My racing instructor allways talked about weight transfer . The fear of death naturally slowed me down in RL most of the time but IMHO
the physics in forza 5 better simulate what I experienced on track in both the F2000 and the Acura Integra than forza 4. The powerful cars are somewhat harder to drive in Forza 5, actually more difficult to regain control of , much more difficult to tune and in the end, better simulate the real life experience.
Forza 4 was an awesome game, and forza 5 even with its faults is better still.

Re: General FM5 Thread
I spent most of the day tuning today and I think they should all be pretty competitive in their classes (most were in A class). Here is the list of cars I tuned:
Chevrolet ZL1 Camaro A Class
Ferrari F12Berlinetta A Class
2013 Ford Shelby GT500 A Class
Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series A Class
Dodge Charger SRT8 B Class
Alfa Romeo Giulietta C Class
Aston Martin DBS A Class
I think that I have only uploaded the ZL1 to the shared tunes menu, so let me know if you see anything that you would like to try out and I will upload it to the shared tunes menu. Just search for my gamertag and the tune should show up.

I've been saving my coins for the next car pack, assuming there's good stuff in it. There has to be, right? Has to be!

Re: General FM5 Thread
The least they could do is announce the January car pack in the next couple days. My guess is it will be a collection of nurburgring edition cars considering the rumor that we are going to be getting the nurburgring as dlc this month.nubrocket wrote:I've been saving my coins for the next car pack, assuming there's good stuff in it.
