New XBox Features!

So there was an XBox Live update a few days ago... There was also an update released for the mobile app... Some of the new Xbox control features are now LIVE with the mobile apps...

Current Features
Quickplay = Launch games & apps on your Xbox from your PHONE!!!
Controller = haven't tried it out yet, but I will tonight!

Yes, it's called "smart glass". This was part of their presentation at E3.

Haven't tried it myself. I don't recall my 360 getting updated. Give it a shot tonight.

Although Android users are gonna have to wait. They haven't released an app for it yet.

I knew I should have bought an iphone!

Screw the iPhone. I can't wait to get rid of it. Bloody iTunes sucks as bad as my painting skills in Forza.

Actually I agree with Marm.... As much as I love the iPad, I dislike the iPhone... Apple's iOS upgrades are sucking on the 4, forcing people to go out and get a 4s.... I'm switching to Droid or Windows phone in August...

BTW... there is an official xBox app for the droid!

I have a droid x and love it but siri looks so cool

The only thing IPhone has on Android is screen quality. I have a two friends that have them and the rest of us all have androids. Makes for good arguing when its 10-15 against 2 on fight night.

Windows phone is great. I have a Samsung focus and I have an app that hooks directly to my live account. I can change my avatar and check my live messages and send them at anytime

They have that for the iPhone as well. Works great when you don't have a keyboard for your controller. There is no app that I'm aware of for android.

I gave that smartglass a run the other night. Meh. With respect to Forza, it didn't do anything special. Guess we'll wait to see if it provides anything of value.

There is a huge difference between people who use apple products and people who ONLY use Apple and think everything else in inferior (the douchebags)...

I use apple products, but I think they are way overpriced for what you get. Now that Jobs is gone, Apple is going to start to fall apart... You can see it with the latest iOS update. What a POS that is on the iPhone 4. So bad, in fact, that I will be switching to a Droid in August at work...

I'm inclined to agree with you Lou, just caught a glimpse of a story last night about they are taking Google Maps out of iOS? The problem of course now, tho' is like the Flash issue. Apple has amassed such a following, that they CAN actually drive market....strange, but true. The Fanboys will never see the flaws in the latest iOS (they didn't see all the ones previous, so not likely to happen now).

It will be interesting to see where we go. Apple represents about a 35-40% total of all the technology I support at my work, so it's always interesting to see how what they do will impact my day to day.

Once Windows 8 releases and the next gen full featured mobile devices start hitting the shelves, we'll see a decline in Apple mobile products in the workplace. The ability to have the full MS Office suite on a tablet is just WAY too much for Apple to handle.

With an IT shop of 1000+ where I work, we have a good number of people with iPads, iPhones and MacBooks, but they are slowly giving them up to Windows Laptops and Andriod based mobile devices. As a company, we stopped issuing iPhone due to device cost and Exchange compatibility (the calendar sync between iOS devices and MS Exchange SUCKS).

If they want a company issued device, they get a Droid. IF they want Apple, they have to foot the bill... And... My company's business is repairing and insuring cellular phones (among other things) globally...

If you haven't already, check out the stuff getting read to drop with Windows 8.... Asus, MSI, Sony, Dell, IBM, HP and many others have tablets, laptops and devices we've not seen yet ready for the OS. It's gonna be huge (or it'll flop)....

You gotta hand it to their marketing department. I can only think of a handful of corporations whose customers want to put their logos on their car.

Just saying, regardless of flaws, most people iphones dont work correctly because they get bugged, easily.

On my iphone i dont use Itunes for music, i download that shit myself and put it on there. And i still have the iphone 3 with like 64 gigs. And i can control every TV, monitor, Xbox and my router/modem with it. Including my work computer. Alot of the apps are amazing, and the amount of things you can use an iphone for is impressive. I had a droid X and the new razr. The razr by far was the best droid ive used/seen/had. But it didnt compare to my iphone still.

I have an iPhone 4 (not s) 32gb, and I do like it... but.... I am starting to see some chinks in the Apple armor with Jobs gone.... Their marketing has taken a nose dive, there is not a whole lot of buzz surrounding new and upcoming products (a la Jobs press conferences), and the latest iOS update has some issues....

We have have the following Apple products: iPhone 4 (mine for work); iPad 2 (mostly for my wife and kids); iPod Touch Gen 3 32gb (was mine before the iPhone, now it's the kid's); iPad 1 (was mine, taken over by the wife which she left outside in the rain which made the screen go BOOM); Old MacBook (non-intel - mostly used for misc stuff and going to clean up for the girls).....

I like Apple, but it's overpriced... I'm hopefully going to pick up a Samsung Tab 2 (7") in August. It's an Android tablet, and it rocks.... While it's only the size of a Kindle Fire, it as most of the iPad's capability and then some. @ $250 USD, it's a bargain when compared to the iPad 2/3. I can still get the majority of the apps I use on the Android platform, and then there is the ability to to use 32gb Micro SD cards for storing movies, music and other cool stuff! Just sayin'!!!

Not mine... I got 120gb in my Xbox... Get a hard drive for it man...

Has the judge let Samsung start selling their tablets again?

i have a soft modded xbox. 2 terrabytes. Its connected to my computer. They share music/photos/youtube/ERRTHING i even "had" a program for Forza 3 that allowed me to tune on the computer screen and sinc it to the xbox hard drive.

I only have 20 GBs of memory and that includes the external memory unit that I bought
