June week 3 qualifier
another poll for the qualifier! again, pick as many as you want!
EDIT: last option wasn't fully printed out. the team with the top finisher will qualify for the top spots (ex: ITA gets 1st, 4th and 6th, they will qualify 1st, 2nd and 3rd) collision will be off for this one

As much as I LOVE Fujimi, I think it will be UBER painful in R3 Supercars!
a standard old 3-lap qualifier FTW!

What's the fascination with the Ring? It's up every week. Why don't you just call it and be done with it? / bitter
I don't really have an opinion on any of this. So I shall abstain.

I'm with you Marm... It's fun as a novelty, but I don't have time to practice both the Ring and the weekly track... I will go with whatever, but I prefer a good-ole 3-lap qualifier!
Re: June week 3 qualifier
I'm with Lou. We havn't had the "standard" style qualifier in a while! Now I gotta practice at my aunt's house (dogsitting). Do I get my wheel from my house for the Wednesday night race? Hmmm. I honestly may not be able to race Wed night but we shall see.

One caveat... The winner in the 3-lap qualifier should be determined by FASTEST CLEAN LAP and not the winner of the 3-lap race! That is how qualifiers work!

So does this mean if someone runs say a 1:54 clean, they are in front of the person who did a 1:52 dirty? I'm fine with that, just wanna be clear.

I understand where you're coming from. I certainly respect the changeup in qualifying. Adds to the monthly series.

Re: June week 3 qualifier
In thy case it should be 5-7 laps. U know how hard it is to put down a fast clean lap in 2 laps.BiggLou55 wrote:One caveat... The winner in the 3-lap qualifier should be determined by FASTEST CLEAN LAP and not the winner of the 3-lap race! That is how qualifiers work!

I like the total time one because it means the most consistently fast racer qualifies first

I vote for the old school way we used to do it. 3 laps collision off.

Hahahahaha.
I am fine with whatever because where you start doesn't always have a huge difference as to where you finish. Your only a couple hundred feet behind the guy at the front and with 25-30 minutes of racing, if your faster, you will eventually pass them. So I am good with however we do it!

I disagree for most tracks.... Since we have a nasty habit of over-driving our first lap (on cold tires, you are more prone to smash-n-crash), we have lot's of issues in the first few corners... Being out in front get's you ahead of the pack, and you can settle in to pace a lot quicker... You are also starting the race with a 1-4 second advantage that the others have to make up. It's quite important actually. I think part of my May success was getting the pole every week except week 5. That time advantage is huge, especially when you consider being behind someone slower that you have to pass will hold you up for 1-5 seconds (or more) per lap if you cannot get around! That all comes off the total race time...
Re: June week 3 qualifier
But collisions are off for the qualifier.
We goin' back to April's series of qualifiers. In those three laps, it didn't matter where you started (at least it was the case for me).

Or, Cash, when you consider sometimes, like at Sunset, I forget to turn right...just sayin.

Talking about the RESULTS of the qualifier and the start of the actual Race Marm... Not the actual qualifier...

Re: June week 3 qualifier
I would rather prefer starting in the back 75%. I tend to take it really easy into one and brake real early since my tires are still ice cubes and continue the easy driving for the first 1/2 to 3/4 lap till I have some heat built up then I will start pushing. Then 2 laps in Fischs3 and I battle till the last lap when I finally pass him just to go off track in the next corner.
