FH Asphalt Street Series - Week 2 (and Week 3!)
We had a good turnout last night, meaning beef joined in to give us 4 people. Even adding one more person seemed to step up both the competitiveness and the chaos.
I raced a little dirtier than last time, taking a few opportunities to try and bully my way through people. It...well it didn't...I WAS DRIVING A FORD FOCUS. It didn't work out for me.
Beef's SRT Jeep beat us at the line, BY A LOT, every time. Shinn and Wolf had a knack of catching up though. Especially Wolf, who somehow made his Civic whisper quiet. I think he blasted by my port side every round at least once without me even realizing he was coming.
We opted to run two week's worth of races. The next session, which should be next Saturday at 9:30pm CST/10:30pm EST again, will consist of our last week plus a makeup of week 1. I haven't figured out how the makeup race will be scored yet. I'll figure out something.
If you haven't attended one of these yet I'd encourage you to make the last one. They've been surprisingly fun and, at least in my opinion, something hysterical happens at least once.

Damn, shinn got me by one point all together! Nice racing guys, that was loads of fun. One of my favorite parts is what is going to be part of my new signature:
Maybe it wasn't those exact words, but it was still hilarious...
I definitely encourage everybody to try to participate in this because it was a ton of fun!

That is the most accurate description of anything ever!
I'm really glad you joined, beef. If we can just get 2 more guys, the racing will get really spicy. I just love the unpredictability of it. So easy to miss a turn or hit a hole and do an olympic grade somersault as nub demonstrated (it really is a shame you can't save replays), and the whole race changes.

yeah that would have been a great picture - he flipped his car right over my jeep

Haha yeah I remember doing that in the one that went through the carson area in practice and I think I may have done it in the actual race too. If there is one thing that you should take from last night, it is NEVER follow my line - I saw you follow me off course one time and you probably could have won that race
Another little bit of advice - if you have the option to take a shortcut through the golf course, don't take it - even with the rally springs, I was jumping about 20-30 feet in the air... can you even imagine how horrible that would be with race springs?
