Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
Alrighty folks, listen up. A real deal Forza Horizon race series is going to be landing after the New Year.
ASPHALT STREET-RACE SERIES
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Rules
Format
(see bottom of post for lobby setup parameters)
Track List
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
Scoring
Prizes
There will be real-world prizes of a swag-like variety awarded for this series.
For example, I have Forza Horizon key-fobs to give away.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Scheduling
To be determined after the holidays are over and we're back in the swing of things with Low's Miata race series. I will decide if we will alternate Saturdays with him or wait for that series to be finished and take its slot.
Currently I am favoring the latter plan. This section will update as details solidify.

ASPHALT STREET-RACE SERIES
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Rules
- Max PI A600. The car you use and how you get to 600 is up to you. You do not have to bring the same car to every race.
- Car must be painted. No template, no rules. Use of club number optional. Side contest will be held for best paint. Post your cars in this thread for consideration. You may only submit 1 car for the livery contest even if you choose to race multiple cars.
- Clean racing optional. This is street racing, anything goes. This rule may change if it turns out to negatively affect our fun.
Format
(see bottom of post for lobby setup parameters)
- 3 tracks per night. Each night will consist of 3 different environments. Time of Day will be randomized.
- 3 heats per track. Each track will be run 3 times with an ascending grid order of "Last Finishing Position".
- Timing. Each heat should run about 3 minutes. I estimate 45 minutes per series night, factoring in lobby intermission times.
Track List
Week 1
- 28-38
- Buzz the Hub
- Canyon Run
Week 2
- Dam and Out
- Desert Run
- Eagle Ridge
Week 3
- Mountain Run
- Outta Town
- Plains Run
Week 4
- River Run
- Tunnel Charge
- Valley Sprint
Scoring
- 1 point for every participant per heat. Minimum scoring chance per night is 9 points.
- 4 additional points for first place per heat. Maximum scoring chance per night is 45 points.
- 3 additional points for second place per heat.
- 2 additional points for third place per heat.
- 1 additional point for fourth place per heat.

I don't see it negatively affecting anything. You can't even spin anyone out playing cat and mouse.

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
Bump!
Well, it's 2013 now and it's time to start locking this down. My current plan is to line these races up on the Saturday's opposite of Low's Miata race series.
For now, I would like to start gauging interest. Would that scheduling work for you or is that too much racing commitment? Don't be shy with feedback.
If interest far exceeds an 8 person lobby, we'll run two lobbies per race night.

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
I will participate. I tried playing horizon yesterday and couldn't stay on for more than 30 minutes, but I think this series will be interesting enough to bring me back to it

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
Although my evenings/nights are always hit and miss, I will plan on participating. Haven't even opened Horizon since I got it for Christmas, but will be sure to log some time before the first series. Just let me know the day/time and I'll try to be there!

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
I got the game for Christmas but i barely have played it so if i can make enough money to buy a car and some upgrades i could give it a go.

Cool deal! If you need help snagging the car you want, let me know. I haven't spent a lot of in-game cash.

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
I would like to start this in Feb, using the "every other Saturday" cadence we have in place for the Miata series.
The first night will be 2/2, 10:00PM CST. The next night will be 2/16, and so on.

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
sounds good. all I have right now that I have painted is my evo 6, so I will probably have to come up with something different because it isn't very competitive

I tried an Escalade yesterday and...yeah. Fun, but rolled it about 17 times. Currently looking at BMWs.

Re: Forza Horizon Asphalt Street Race Series
Regrettably something has come up which will result in my Saturday blowing up. I have to postpone the first race until the 16th. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Wouldnt be street racing without a honda with some skateboarding stickers right? Last one doesnt really show the design too well but I thought it looked cool!
