FH Asphalt Street Series - Week 1
We finally did it! We finally had our first week of the FH Asphalt Street Series race.
Thank you wolfman and shinn for attending and to hell with the rest of yah! The 3 of us had a great time and I learned some things that should make future weeks work better.
Due to the low attendance of this race I will hold a makeup race. However I am considering not offering the +1 attendance point for anyone having to do a makeup. This scoring rule would be consistent for any makeup race, not just this week's.
For those who wanted to attend but didn't, please give me some feedback about why. You can do that here or in a PM. Was the timing not clearly communicated? Was it too late at night? If the reason you didn't attend was due to anything I can change, let me know. That's what I'm saying.
NOW FOR THE RESULTS.
The breakdown of points per heat, as well as the standings for the entire series, is being maintained in this spreadsheet.
Thanks again, Wolf and Shinn, for attending. There were some great moments.

Yeah, it was fun and funny Some bumpy grass moments, some flipping and rolling followed by nub's laughter, some missed turns because this isn't Need for Speed with artifical barriers to keep you going the right way ... All we need is more cars on track.

Re: FH Asphalt Street Series - Week 1
Yea first set of races I was stopped by the telephone pole at the very last turn each time. And also either in the first or second set i flipped hardcore over someone and toppled end over end for awhile. A few of the races we all finished within a few seconds of each other too.
My Honda turned out to be more competative than i thought it would be too. I wish i could tune the understeer out of it though. Do I just have to settle with it or is there a combination of parts i can buy to help? I think i have most if not all the suspension stuff installed maybe a diff or something?
Either way, It was a blast last night!

Well, reading comprehension > me.
I thought it was at the same time as Low's race. So I was on at around 9:30 est. Looked around. Saw nobody. Left.
Not that I could participate anyways. I was beat last night. Since nobody was on, I just went to bed.

I'm going to plan on having the races a bit earlier in the future. 11pm CST is pretty late.
The 45min estimate was pretty accurate, so the sessions don't run terribly long. Fun, though.
@Wolf, I don't know what can be done about the understeer. The best tweak I made to my focus was putting Rally shocks on it. Makes it roll more BUT it makes taking shortcuts much less...traumatic. Unless of course it's the big "shortcut" on the buzz the hub where there's a giant hole that will kill any car that tries to pass through. That was the funniest thing I've seen all week. All 3 of us got eaten by that thing. Oh the bouncing. So much bouncing.
