Official Series Race Session Times
Each week we have three official times that we run out series races. While you may run all of them during a given week, only ONE race will count. The official rule is that you must state your intent prior to the start of the qualifier whether this is you official run or not. Choose the session that works the best for you...
***NOTE: All times are in either EST (US Eastern Time or UTC/GMT -4 for DST and -5 w/o DST) or UTC/GMT (Universal/Greenwich Time or +0). British Summer Time (BST London) is UTC/GMT +1
Official Series Race Session:
In the event there is a holiday, a race might be moved, so please keep and eye on the forums.
There may also be one or more make-up races done throughout a series. (there are no bonus points for hosting and there are no qualifiers or pole position)
In the even you experience a Xbox Kick or have to drop from a race for a family emergency, you will still be eligible to run in another official or make-up session....

Re: Official Series Race Session Times
I'm not being biased living in the UK, but I think you should include GMT times. I have no idea what EST or BST mean, but I'm sure everyone knows GMT
Re: Official Series Race Session Times
EDT = Eastern Daylight Time (GMT -4) EST = Eastern Standard Time (no daylight savings or Fall/Winter and is GMT -5)
BST = British Summer Time or London (GMT +1)
I use this site ot help with converting time (so I don't have to do the math cause math is haaaaard! ): http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc
It was requested by others from the UK and EU that we use BST instead of GMT to reduce confusion...

If only earth was like FM4 with no annoying day/night cycle. Then we could all always play together

@ Shinnsoon - SOOOO True!!
OK.... Let's make a deal.... When we talk about times, let's refer to cities (like Marm did in the July thread)...
North/South America times are coded with NY for eastern time
Europe/Africa Times are coded with London
Asia/Australia times are coded with Tokyo
Others in the various regions will be able to adjust for their time. Like Johannesburg and Berlin (both GMT +2) are 1 hour ahead of London right now.
Through the end of daylight savings, here are the time offsets from GMT
NY = -4
London = +1
Sydney = +10
Does this make sense?
Example: If you are basing times on NY, you'll need to add 5 hours for London and another 10 hours for Sydney.

Re: Official Series Race Session Times
Drk... I'll have all 9 of my tunes on my SF tonight... You'll be able to grab them for free... Once you choose a car and want the unlocked version of the tune, I'll gift it to you...
One Note.... Bernese Alps is a tough track due to it's high speed and un-banked turns... It's impossible to take out all of the throttle oversteer without hurting top speed and acceleration... If you have issues, just turn on TCS and that should help control the car. Just be warned that TCS will also slow you down...

Re: Official Series Race Session Times
Thanks Lou. I just ran the Lexus LF-A and here are my 5 best times.
1.30.098, 1.31.523, 1.32.255, 1.32.424, and 1.34.162. I'm gonna get the tunes for the Merc and Ford sierra cosworth. I'll let you know which one i'm gonna use when i'm done trying them. Thanks for the advice on the track.

Nope you can race as many races as you want, as long as you designate one day as your official time, and that you do your best not to impede the official race times of the others you race with on their race day! If you can't make any of the days you can usually ask around if anyone will be on Saturday to help fill the field and run the race with you then. I'm usually on Saturdays so if you need to run a race I'll be on!

Re: Official Series Race Session Times
You might want to fix the new time before a disaster is caused, its 9pm GMT time.
Edit* Never mind, I used the admin powers I forgot I had =D

I think the Wednesday Euro race is cannibalizing the Sunday time and there's really not enough people to support both. What should we do about this?SimF40 wrote:WHATS HAPPENING TO THE EURO LOBBY ?

Re: Official Series Race Session Times
I messaged the guys in the GMT group saying I wont be hosting the wednesday session this month, due to it coming down to about 2 or 3 people in each race. If the demand grows again I'll restart it, but for now its cancelled.
Re: Official Series Race Session Times
ok...................I will take time out and wait for the October series and see if that generates demand for the Euro lobby
