Is that a Ford Escort Cosworth? I am upset that Ford never brought the Cosworth versions of their cars here to the states... Sad We get the SVT versions (and the SHO), but nothing as special as the Cosworth editions!

Yes it is the cosworth it is totally standard had the engine taken out and the engine bay rapainted imperial blue with laquer to match the shine on the outside of the paintwork all new part engine rebuild she is a honey! Sorry bad pic as it tight in my garage

AWESOME!! thanks for sharing! I've always loved that version of the escort! That and the Focus RS are two of my all-time favorite hot hatches! Very Happy Neither were available here in the states!

Well big Lou I am going to show you more cause any excuse to show off my baby! I travelled to Germany personally to pick up the new genuine ford coolant bottle on the right of the engine bay...tidy engine bays are my thing! It still has the original square posted ford battery!...I am a nerd!

That is such a sweet car man! I love the detail and how well you maintain it! I take it you are after as close to 100% original as you can get; otherwise, I'd suggest an Optima sealed yellow or red top batter! Very Happy

It had a slight cam shaft seal leak after the rebuild which is why the cam shaft cover is off in the pics cause I was hunting for the little bastard!

You are a knowledgeable bunch!...the last car to roll of the production line was 12 January 1996 this car is registered 7 January 1996 so yes it is one of the last I am second owner it was bought new by a business woman...it was totally standard when I got it except for a mobile phone holder had been drilled into the dashboard!!!....I got a new part for the dash and threw the phone holder away then after owning for a year I decided the engine could do with an overhaul and then while it was out figured to paint the engine bay it's the only thing that's not really original but it's badass then it got a bit out of hand sourcing all sorts of new parts till it looked like what you see....thanks for the comments guys Smile
