Official Club Racing Numbers

There is a topic on the Club Forum where some of us posted our Racing Numbers.  I figured we should make it all official-like and keep a list...

The rules are simple:

1. Choose a number between 00 and 99
   
2. Check the list below and the thread to see if the number you want is already taken. Numbers are first come-first served, so if the number you want is already taken, you must choose another number that is available.
   
3. If you wish, you may contact the member that has the number you want, and politely see if they'd be willing to give it up.
   
4. The numbers below must be displayed during Official Club Series and Event races on the Left, Right, Hood and Rear of the car.
   
5. If you are not a painter and need a number plate Vinyl, please post in the Market Place section. One of the many apprentice, Journeyman or Master painters will be happy to help you.
   
6. All cars uploaded to the Club Garage for a monthly series, must display the "XX" number plate displaying the three letter month abbreviation at the bottom. I will have a vinyl for each monthly series and club race available on my SF or for gifting (if you want it unlocked). This is to easily identify cars in the Club Garage intended for a monthly series as opposed to taking one of your two available club garage slots. Once a series is over, please take down the shared car from that month.  This is to ensure there is enough room in the garage for cars intended for the next series.
   
7. If there are any questions or need assistance, please ask.
   
8. Finally.... Be creative... All that is asked is that the number is easily identifiable and displayed in the places mentioned above!

If you are not on the list, then your number is not registered...  Moderators, please feel free to add your own numbers...  For the rest of you, please reply in this topic with your preffered number, remember to review the entire thread to ensure you are not picking a number that is already taken...

(FYI - This list is the list of registered U2SC forum members as of 03/21/2012 and not a complete list of the U2SC Club in-game - If your name is not on the list, you likely signed up on the forums after that date - Please post with your desired number and you will be added to the list.  If you play online with a club member who is not registered on the club forum, please remind them to do so!)

Put me down for #99 lou... that's my current hockey number partially because I have a gigantic ego.

Ahhhh.... The Great One.... Nice... That's quite the ego there!!

I chose 55 because.... (this is a retrofitted story BTW)...

Gretzky was 99 (don't really need to say anything here do I?)
Lindros was 88 (not really all that great but a lime-lighter none the less)
Bourque was 77 (and my favorite defenseman of all time followed closely by Brian Leetch and Paul Coffey)
Lemieux was 66 (could have gotten past Gordy and close to Gretzky if he hadn't gottten Cancer)

So do you just keep these at 10 and then when you need that extra kick or juice on stage you just throw them up to 11 then?? Haha classic!!!

So for anyone using a borrowed car, like I probably will be, do I just put my number on it or will it stay XX? Because aren't you unable to modify a shared car in any way?

You are correct. You cannot alter the design, and only the owner can. I will try and update the shared Pantera with XX for tonight, but I'd suspect the cars for this month will be what they are (other than my Pantera), unless the owners find the time to update them with the XX number.

I've added rules to the original post. Please let me know if there are any questions.

Thanks to all who've replied and designated their number. Please pass the word to other members you run into online. I will ensure this is announced during tonight's race and after play. Will someone please ensure the same happens on Sunday? I'm not sure I will make it to the Lobby (to watch )....

BTW... Here is the rough sketches for generic number plates... Please keep in mind they are ROUGH sketches I did while eating lunch at my desk today....

Funny you should mention "style".... I just posted a Vinyl contest in the marketplace to come up with an official U2SC Member number plate...

I still love that movie, and it has to be about 20 years old? Man I feel old. I have watched that part of the movie over and over and it still makes me laugh every time.

This Is Spinal Tap. It's a movie that's basically a funny documentary about a rock band. But it's all fake, but it's hysterical.

Btw, this is a total derailment, but one of my all-time favorite parts is when the bass player is stuck in his little pod on stage while playing hahaha. And one of the best quotes that I often use. "What's the difference between regular golf and mini-golf? Oh the ball is smaller?! Oh, ok!" hahaha
