Possible races?

Possible races?
So the past couple of days I have been thinking of a few types of monthly races we can do, this is just an idea. I started thinking of plenty of things to factor in from Performance Index, to Tire wear. All the way to what tracks we should do and the whole lot. Ive wanted to race something that was more realistic, faster and more challenging, that depended more on racing with a partner. I wish we could do teams of 4, with 2 drivers a paint and a tuner. But it seems like the tuner/Painter part wouldn't matter unless we did some kind of top 3 looking cars. As far as drivers go, we clearly know what they do, but the hard work a tuner puts in isn't acknowledge or shown, i mean the work tuners do and time they spend does help the drivers, but i feel bad when they dont get props for the work they do. Fo r both races below i would like to run smaller tracks, just so there is alot of traffic and passing and working together, Racing isnt about being out in front running 5 seconds faster then the rest of the pack, racing is about adrenaline and concentration. And there is no better feeling then having to zoom in and out of traffic, with damage turned on it will make people think twice and drive smarter, and take lines differently. Nothing is more challenging or fun.
The first race I came up with and wrote down was a type of R1 race. Basically, like the Formula 1 season obviously crammed into (if possible) 2 months. 8 Races total. More info Below.
Overview
Performance Index - R1
8 Tracks (TBD Looking into smaller ones)
Constructor/Manufacturer (Teams of 2)
-1 Skilled Driver
-1 Learning Driver
Constructor points only (Team work matters)
-Same car driven from Manufacturer for both drivers
Qualifier
10-15 Laps.
(Looking to have about 16 people per race, and with the smaller size tracks I'm looking at giving people clear track to qualify is important)
1 Hour Long race
On Track
Constructors to have Matching paint schemes.
Damage is on
Tire Degradation is on.
Mandatory pit stop. With the tire degradation turned on, I'm sure we will have to make more then 1 stop.
-------------------------------------
SCCA Ruled Race
2 Classes ITA and ITS
4 Races, preferably all on American soil hence SCCA.
45 or 30 mins
Damage on
Tire Wear on or off. If we run with tire wear off then 30 mins, with it on, 45 mins would make a good time, having to time in pit stops.
Can race any car within the limits of ITA and ITS
I chose these 2 classes because even though they are different, they are VERY similar, A good ITA driver can stick with some of the ITS cars if he is doing well for a while, and it makes a nice overall race. ITS cars are faster on straights, but when you get into the corners the ITA cars catch back up, so not only do you have 2 class battles, but a nice overall battle going. I race an ITA Honda CRX and i have a blast passing the Miatas in the ITS category and they get pissed. Its a good time.
All things are debatable and up for questioning. Please discuss.

Re: Possible races?
sounds good, but a 2 month long club series could take up quite a bit of time and I know we all like to try as many things as possible. maybe this can be used as another multi-club series type of thing after we do the superGT series. thoughts?

Re: Possible races?
Also.... The options for tire wear come with limited and simulated damage... If you want it to come itno play, then you'll need to run Drag tires most likely...
Sim damage is way too frustrating, but limited could work... Only problem is once your bodywork is damaged, you've lost the upper 10% of your top speed... that loss is permanent no matter how many times you pit...

Re: Possible races?
Better not crash.
I agree, not simulation damage, maybe just limited if it still effects tire wear. And If we run regular racing tires with limited damage they will fall off, in my r1 car it took 17 laps on maple valley for them to get terrible and in my A class Honda, 13 laps for them to fall off. And I was pushing VERY hard.
