Forza Horizon Demo Reviews

Thanks for sharing, nub! I finally just played through the whole demo (only had a chance to check out the first race the other day) and thought it was fun. Wireless speed wheel works just as it does in F4. I generally like arcade racers so no problems for me there.

I'm just concerned about whether or not it's worth it to plunk down the extra $20 for the LCE at this point. Actually, I'm not even sure I need this in that first week launch window (damn you, amazon!). I grabbed Forza 4 on Black Friday for $30 at Target last year and I'm sure there will be deals for this as well. There's plenty of other stuff to play in the meantime. Decisions, decisions.

Played through the demo again. I am really really starting to love this game. I can see myself losing hours to this lovely time vampire.

Any other hood-view drivers here? Where's our rear view?

I drive from hood view.

Didn't pay attention to where the rear view was/ check if it's there. Isn't it typically just top-center of the screen? Not there in FH?

Yeah, not there. Took me awhile to realize I didn't have on and I couldn't find an option anywhere to toggle it.

Hit the back button?

I dunno. Was it in Forza or GT where you could turn the rear view off? Maybe they just left it off for the demo.

That's a good idea, I'll check those. I wish I realized this before I got hands on last week. I also think it should have come up in the recent debate. These are the issues I care about.

If it's not there, club lobbies are gonna become bitter. Of course, if you don't call it, you can't expect the other driver to give you space.

Forza has a setting to turn the RVM on and off... It's in the HUD options...

I replayed the demo last night and got caught up in trying to beat your leaderboard times for that speedtrap. then I got angry because I was going 120 for the turn right before the camera and there was a van right in my way, so I couldn't get past clean (tried to for at least 15 minutes...) and rage quit the demo...
