Is the 2013 Viper eligible? It's a production sports car and RWD. Just ran four laps on Silverstone and got a clean 1:56

It's not on the list. However, Lou may have obtained some outdated info?

yeah I think it is. If lou got the list from myforzagarage.com then its probably outdated... I don't think they have updated the list since the July DLC

It meets all the requirements so I'll assume it's good to go. What kind of times is everyone running? I'm trying to gauge which cars are faster than others on certain tracks.

Re: January 2013 Series: S-Class Late Model Sports Car Showdown
From last night, Lou and v14gra hit 1:56 in the ZL1 and Vette GS (although I think V14gra hit 55 dirty). I think Chaos hit 55 in a 430 (not eligible, just listing the times). My best was a 57 in the Vanquish. And I think the Cayman was right there as well. Same with the CTS-V for me.
The WS6 I can't do nuttin' with it. Think the best I got out of that was a 59.
The BMW Shoe, Evora, Shelby were 58's. And I think the Sagaris was there as well. Keep in mind I didn't really tune them (not that I can).

Times be damned! Lou had the right idea. I have my Caddy tuned, painted, and sitting in the club garage cuz I'm kinda proud of it.
I tried to mimic the style of Andy Pilgrim's racing CTS-V.

That looks really cool, nub. I haven't picked a car yet but I'll be taking the same approach by not being concerned about times and just driving something that I really like. (I'm not slagging anyone who is taking the time to compare cars to find the fastest one. More power to ya!)

I still haven't figured out what I'm going to drive.... I had a blast Sunday night...
Also remember that you do not have to stick with the same car each week. All I ask is that you run the same car in both sessions of that week's race. This way it's consistent...

awesome, I would love to race some completely random car at least one week (I think I can get the Peugeot RCZ up to 697 PI so that might be fun to do one week)BiggLou55 wrote:Also remember that you do not have to stick with the same car each week. Congrats Viagra!!! You are definitely going to be tired, but I really started getting into Forza just after my boys were born. Kept me at least partially sane through the tough part, and now that they're older (and way more fun) I think I'm good to go. Until I have to figure out how the hell to feed two teenage boys anyways.
Should be there Friday, the mother-in-law leaves tomorrow so I'll get the house/TV back. Renovation season has already kicked off in our house (yay! ), but that generally means I can play XBOX pretty much every late night without getting crap, so I've got that going for me, which is nice. And yes, perhaps a bit quick with the elephant, but you have no idea how long it takes my wife to pick a paint color.

I feel your pain. In fact I feel like she's wanting to paint the living room again this year. 3rd time in 5 years........joekorn wrote:And yes, perhaps a bit quick with the elephant, but you have no idea how long it takes my wife to pick a paint color.

Low, you gotta put the foot down. Tell her next time if she wants a new color, she can paint it herself. If you're lucky, she'll either do a better job or realize how much of a pain it is. Either way, less work for you in the future.

Re: January 2013 Series: S-Class Late Model Sports Car Showdown
Low & Marm: Started to write a response but it turned into a book (as usual), so I decided to stop hijacking the thread and started a new one on home renovation.
Looking forward to this month, love the two heat setup and will be fun to see how the different cars stack up against each other. Since it's pointless for me to worry about winning I'm going to try running something different every week, preferably a car I'm not at all familiar with. We'll see how fun that is for everyone else though...

Re: January 2013 Series: S-Class Late Model Sports Car Showdown
Looking forward to having you back in action Joe!
The 2-heat setup worked really well in December, and It seemed to keep the "hot-lapping" to a minimum. There were some really great battles going on, and we seemed to have a great time in TS. Doing Reverse Lobby Points for the second race also gave those that finished in the back during the first race a chance to start up front for the second.... It in turn made it more challenging for those that Finished up front. They had to work their way back through the pack if they wanted to win the second heat!

Re: January 2013 Series: S-Class Late Model Sports Car Showdown
Part of the fun was that those two cars were a handful if you didn't treat em right. That meant that for those who were able to come to terms with the car were able to speed away. And no offence, but those with difficulty were in the back battling with other classes.
I think we're going to get more hotlapping this time around.
One last point, what happened to last month's winner choosing something for the final race?

You mean you or Beef choosing?
It's up to the organizer... I had a specific track set in mind with this month's and last month's series...

Re: January 2013 Series: S-Class Late Model Sports Car Showdown
FYI... I removed the Engine Swap restriction.... It seemed a bit pointless to restrict that... However.... Remember... You MUST run RACE AERO (front and Rear).
Re: January 2013 Series: S-Class Late Model Sports Car Showdown
Now you tell us?
Meh, not that it mattered for me last night. I couldn't do squat for Silverstone. Almost everything was 57-59. Then I looked at the lb, saw an NSX ran a 55 so I just raced that car until I got my time down that low.

I edited the car list, striking the Chevy Cobalt. It is FWD with no RWD conversion. And yes, I am that desperate.

Has anybody messed with the Audis? Is converting the R8 to RWD too criminal?
