I think the first one has a nice sounding flow to it.

Viagra - I'm fine with whatever, if you would rather go with the Corvette that works for me. Just confirm that is what we're running and I'll get back to painting. In testing it last night I was about a second slower than the Beamer, but with more tuning I'll make it work. BTW, when I tried the BMW I set the third fastest club time on Road Atlanta (behind two Moslers). I think it has some nice potential, but know that others have put up some killer times with the Corvette, so I just need to figure it out.
The paint scheme has already been started, going with a modified version of the #6 Mark Martin car sponsored by Viagra. Should be a nice scheme to use for public lobbies too.

I've been having problems with the code too, it seems if you type much at all you have to do a verification before it posts, and when you do the verification it makes all the format coding screw up. I blame Lou.

^^ ok at least I'm not the only one having problems with the coding.
And we can stick with the BMW if u like it. Your driving the #92 rahal right ?
That's the one I'm driving.

Yep, the #92. I know the Corvette is very good as well, I just have a harder time tweaking it because the beefier engine kinda demands longer gearing. Long gears = easier stalls, less flexibility on short tracks. The suspension is awesome though, I know that car is a beast if I can just figure it out. I'll keep working on it today, don't want to give up just yet. If you use in-car view, that big rear-view display on the console is pretty sweet!

ya i use the hood view, and im a monster in that thing. which one do u wanna use? I have a tune for both that is good, my corvette tune is more dialed in. But im sure i could just work on the BMW one, or use yours :>

Re: R3 Grand Prix© Sponsered by VlAGRA!
Are you guys all making custom designs for this, as opposed to using stock paint schemes or buying one. I only ask because if some of you are, i'll probably find motivation to make myself one.
And Joe could you tune a car for me? I'll race whatever and I usually just BS my tunes lol

I am working on painting the #17 porsche for the design contest that Falken Tires is holding, but I'm not sure if I will use it. I might end up making a completely different design...

I have been having trouble not using the exact same design layout... I have changed the colors and I added a bit to the "scallop" things (I think thats what they called them...), but other than that, I haven't been able to come up with anything...

I layout my designs first in photoshop and then use a computer program to make sure that no two designs are more than 90% alike. It's sort of an OCD thing but hey it works.

Re: R3 Grand Prix© Sponsered by VlAGRA!
I tested all my eligble cars for this series and garage cars to be able to compete against the elite of U2SC ( read, avoid being lapped)
all cars were tested and tuned on Mugello club.
the 6 best were the Audi R8, Mosler, Lambo, Mclaren, #2 audi, and Subaru #77.
other cars that were not eligble were the sesto, aventador, pagani zonda.hurari, and 312p, and 2008 viper.
mosler was ranked first, audi R8, lambo, subaru, mclaren, #2 audi was last.
the #77 subaru posted the best lap times on Mugello, Suzuka, and laguna seca, whilst the mosler posted the best times on all other tracks.

Re: R3 Grand Prix© Sponsered by VlAGRA!
U can use any of those cars. So is everyone going to be on tonight for qualifying, ill get on about 9ish? And then ill just stay on til midnight and people can join whenever. Ill just host 7 lap lobbies at a time, giving people enough time to get a few hot laps in. And I'll write down the fastest laps regardless of what session it is made in, and your fastest time will be your qualifying time? And for tomorrow's lobby ill just tell who has to finish behind who?
Qualifying:
Start: 9pm Eastern, Friday - 4-5-13
Finish: Midnight Eastern, Friday - 4-5-13
Race:
Approx Start: Saturday, 10pm Eastern, (4-6-13) Unless specified otherwise.
I've decided I'm going to buy Microsoft points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place drivers at the end of all the races.

Re: R3 Grand Prix© Sponsered by VlAGRA!
Nice, that sounds like a good plan. I should be able to jump on tonight for a few laps.
Question: Did we ever end up with any teams besides Vgra and myself? (BTW, Lou thinks that the spam filter has a problem with your name, for obvious reasons, and that is why the formatting is getting jacked up) If nobody else is pairing up, I'll just pick another car today and we can all run solo. If we want to make teams, then I'll just go with the Corvette.
Either way, looks like my painting will be a work in progress for this week's race until we get everything settled. If we do go solo, I can finish what I've started for the Corvette and send it over to you V as soon as I can.

We can scratch the teams, but feel free to drive the same car as someone else.
And is there any chance u can change my name? So it won't mess with stuff?

I'm hoping with the introduction of Microsoft points to the winners, it will bring in more people.
If you have anyone on your list that isn't alrdy posting in this forum, and is in the club. Try to get ahold of them and ask them to join us for some fun.

After re-reading, looks like we do have teams. Words are hard. Here is what we have as of 4/4. Wolf - I'd be happy to, what do you want to drive? If you want to be on Frank's team in the Viper I'm sure he could hook you up with a ridiculously fast tune, he's about 1 or 2 million times better at tuning than I am.

Don't think your tag is changeable, but you could always register another account. Either way, think with this series' title we'll run into occasional format issues on this thread regardless.

So please forgive me. I dun got caught up in The Wire.
NOw that I've finished it, I think I'll be around tonight. Depends on if the daughter falls asleep in time.
I'm good with whatever car. The Jag, flying lizard, or Koon's MMW are in my garage. So any of those would be preferred for my cheap ass.

Yay!!! Marm's back, Low is alive and I learned something new about the forum (changing screen name). I'll try to add the driver/car listings to the original post, but if the formatting crashes I'll just update it above.
Marm - I'll list you in the Beamer for now, feel free to change it if you want to run something else.
Edit: And now I can't even keep from screwing up my own formatting. Can somebody try editing the topic title to change the spelling? Think that may be what's causing it, and I still can't seem to fix it.
