I don't recall doing the monthly positano rivals... I have been doing some track day rivals when my account has been connected to xbox live, but I don't think I have done anything else

Never actually tried that car before, and wow. By looking at the telemetry (Tyre heating in particular) this thing was not made for cornering.

Anyhow, created an online race for myself and did 5 laps on each track. The listed times are my best clean laps (Saved the replays if that is of any interest)

I think it would be best if someone else chose a car, since I would probably just pick something completely uncontrollable

This is a great idea, and wanted to see if there would be interest in an 'offline' series.  Seems most people have moved on to other games, and those of us that are left can't always make scheduled races.  Any feedback, suggestions, etc. appreciated, especially since you are all better at creating races than I am.

The basic premise:  New challenge each week featuring stock, completely untuned cars.  That should ensure everyone can compete.  Set up an online, private lobby, add a set number of AI cars, and run a short series of races.  Maybe keep the entire thing around 20 minutes or so.  Quick, easy, nothing to scare people away.

Timing: Maybe we could start this soon, run it for a month up to the XBONE release?  Complete the races whenever you want, everything just needs to be finished by the end date.  I think I can manually add all the users on the forum and send a groupwide message to announce it.

I'll stop hijacking the thread now, if this seems to generate some interest I can set up a separate discussion to work out the details.  Now, just need to pry myself away from Far Cry 3 and get on these hotlaps 

Sounds like a good idea Joe. However, I'm not too excited about the AI cars.
Seeing how they have no visibility at all, unless you're directly in front of them.. (And even then, they may intentionally try to use you as a braking cushion in hairpins)
