What controller do you race with?

I know there are those of us out there that have Wheels (of different types) and controllers... Knowing that Mar has a CSR wheel, but races with the controller, I was curious about what others run official club races with.

I tune with the controller, but I race with the wheel. I will sometimes run casual lobbies or one-off races with the controller (convenience more that anything else), but I race with my CSR wheel...

Race with the CSR wheel and pedals. Now when you say you tune with the controller, do you mean you just use that to change all your values or you are running our hot/test laps with it as well?

I enjoy racing with both, but the wheel is just that much more fun. That being said, I'm also not as used to the wheel as I am with the controller so for everyones sake around me I use the controller for club races, just so I dont go bashing into people when I dont correct enough on the wheel.

Yeah, I made sure to do a goooooood amount of random lobby racing and hot laps with it before I felt remotely comfortable with it to race with all you guys.

I tune AND test with the controller.... I also fine tune with the controller, then save a controller tune.... I then take the controller tune and adapt it to the wheel, then save a wheel tune. BUT for the most part, my controller tunes work just fine on the wheel. I may have to tighten them up a bit, but as Marm pointed out (and he is right), VERY tight tunes leave little margin for error. I've started to add some looseness and it's working really well...

Really??? I jumped right in and actually was better! LOL

anybody else remember that movie 'the wizard' with fred savage? There was a scene in in where the 'bad guy' dominates 'rad racer' with a powerglove. seems incredibly cheesy now, but it was awesome at the time.
