Game of Thrones
I love George Martin's books and surprisingly, almost like the HBO show more. I can't wait for season three. In the off time I noticed there is an Xbox 360 game for Game of Thrones. The reviews have not been too favourable and I was wondering if anyone has the game or has played it and can let me know if it is worth the money?

Can't tell you about the game or the HBO series but I'm on book two and really enjoying the series. It's relentlessly grim and gritty. Good stuff!

Series is awesome...I'm not a 'book' reader, manuals yes, books, not so much.
The game doesn't do much for me tbh...seems like a port of something else to capitalize on the success of the series.
Steam summer sale on tho' so I did just pickup Sniper Elite V2 pr PC...a nazi ball shooting good time.

Re: Game of Thrones
I would highly suggest to watch the series. It is very well done in my opinion. Not hollywood style, British. Very good actors and actresses, very good looking actresses to boot. It is based in Medieval times (15th-16th century) when kings and queens reigned. However, the world they live in is mythical. There is also an element of fantasy involved. There are dragons, spirits and zombies interlaced within the stories but very small portion. This is not the Walking Dead. I would say that the essence of the story is a political one and the power struggles between waring families and leadership.
A lot of blood and guts, good wit (especially the dwarf - Tyrion he is awesome) and some sex and nudity, so R rated.

That's it exactly, plus some fantasy-lite. Or maybe "realistic fantasy." Tyrion is by far my favorite. In the books, the chapters rotate between different character's perspectives and I look forward to his the most. I love how he's a dwarf, but not in the Tolkein sense. That's pretty clever.Fischs3 wrote: I would say that the essence of the story is a political one and the power struggles between waring families and leadership.
