Yep, just did some tuning and testing with the Gremlin as I noticed that car was the least used on the LBs. It was a challenge just getting it to 1:09... The pinto is crazy fast. I shared the car I used to get my current time!

My pinto tune still needs work, but I was able to squeeze a 1:10 clean and a 1:09 dirty No out of it last night. Hoping to tweak it a bit more and share it by the weekend.

Nice time Mark! I need to try your car out later tonight.

Thanks Eric, I'm pretty sure the time isn't because of the tune I've just driven this track a lot..The tune was a pretty base tune...I just slapped on parts and changed the settings I thought would be needed to change. I found that the rim size was the biggest change for me, geting rid of that tire flex makes the car feel so much better

Mac pi of 200.

And I can't remember the car models. King Cobra, Pacer and Pinto are eligible. There may be one or two more cars.

It is, but I've only been able to squeeze 1:15.x out of it so far...

I'm gonna run the Pinto Mark shared, but I will also see if I can squeeze more out of the AMC... I really want it to be fast, and by the numbers it should be... It just doesn't have the PI room the Pinto has (161 base vs 100)...

I had the AMC Pacer down to the low 1:12s but could not get any faster clean. I tried the Pinto and knocked off 3 seconds easy.

Anyone also notice in the first part of the track, with a bunch of switchback turns that you should be able to take relatively straight that if you go too close to the wall on one turn to the left it marks your lap as dirty? I had a couple of 1:08 times come up as dirty when I thought I was good to go. I actually recruited my son to watch when the dirty symbol came up so that I could make adjustments to my line.

Yeah that part ruined many of my laps last night, that turn is a PITA. If you have the racing line on at all, the part that dirties is like an inch to the left of that curb, so getting as close to that curb as possible without dirtying the lap lets you carry more speed through that right hander. That right hander is annoying too...super bumpy right before it so sometimes it throws you out.

Top Secret D1-Spec S15 (2.3%)
Murcielago LP640 (17.1%)
MINE'S R34 Skyline GT-R (14%)
Challenge Stradale (3.9%)
RX-7 Spirit R Type-A (28.7%)
430 Scuderia (10.9%)
Shelby GT500 (15.5%)
MINE'S R32 Skyline GT-R (7.8%)

Poll is up for the unicorn of choice if you beat Phred. I just received the RX-7 this week, d'oh. I voted for the GT500 since I did not get it in the Tail Happy cone challenge, not liking my chances however.

I voted for the R32, but I'm fine with the way this is going with the RX7, still need that one.

...now all I have to do is actually turn some laps, and manage to beat his time.

I am thinking it will be tough to beat without the Pinto. He is now down to 1.09.954 with the Pacer and he says he will be moving to the Pinto and he still has 5 days to set a better time. This could be like the last T10 bounty.

I honestly don't get it, if I was in the marketing department of T10 I would be screaming at these guys that it is better to have more winners in a contest than less. Besides it does not cost the company any money to gift out the cars. It is a win win situation IMO. Unless of course you piss off your customers which could happen.

Finally, it is not giving them any more customers. My son has tried some of the races but has given up because they are sometimes 5-10 seconds faster. He had interest when I told him if he did well he could win a car then when he realized how tough they were, he couldn't be bothered and moved on to a different game. Last night when I was done lapping I asked him if he wanted to try to beat him, he just said why bother, he will just beat my time in the end, who cares. He loves cars and racing but doesn't see the joy of this game yet and I think this Community Bounty Program could really sell the product.

I can certainly sympathize with your son.

Now, those of us who've been in the club, we've all had a dramatic improvement when you compare how we drive now than when we all started this in Feb/ Mar with Nordschleiffe. So for us, while he's still faster, we're a lot closer than 10 seconds.

This game (unless you're a natural) requires practice. I have never ever put in as much time into a game as this. I know I can see my improvement just looking at my times before starting a race.

Just look at you and where you were back when it was Montoya's KOTT. Not bragging (because it's no longer true), but I didn't have too much difficulty in beating his time. You did. You kept at it. Now look at the rivals. You're always near the top for our club.

I sympathize with those that are frustrated at the time's these people are able to put up. At the same time, I don't really care about it one way or another. This is a nice bonus program that I can't seem to achieve. However, I'm having a ton more fun racing in the club. As others have stated, best time I've had on this game.

Moral of my long diatribe - have your son join a club (or even our club) and have at it. Maybe for the next Forza he'll be top in all the LB's.

Sitting at 1:08:127, just behind Frank (thanks Frank! I used your ghost to get me there!)

I haven't taken the Pacer around yet to know how much improvement we will see, but something tells me, I should figure out a way to take off at least 2 more sec. I'll be working hard on this one, I have wanted that RX-7 for some time

OH! also...thanks Mark, used the car in the garage, very nice! cheers

I agree with you Marm totally. I hope I am not coming across as being whiny because that is not the point I am trying to make. I have some times on the LB from December - February and they are God awful. I race my ghost on the leader board section and I can't believe that I used to be that bad. It is not a coincidence that my times have started to improve at the same time that I joined this club. Even last night's race, I did crappy but that was the first time I raced that course with the Mercedes, so no practice no results. If I had tried to do that back in February I probably would have been a DNF.

I remember that Montoya challenge. Nothing pissed me off more at the time, lol. Reality is that unicorn that I did eventually win sits in my garage and I rarely use it. So as much as I love the Rivals and trying to beat these bounties, if I don't beat it, oh well. The club has definitely improved my racing, I like to use Lou and Frank's tunes. I also watch Mark's replays and use his ghost to get better times. Then in series races I like to try to keep up with Marm.

I have never played a game as much as this one and no sign of letting up. As for my son, you are right, maybe Forza 5 will be more to his liking. Funny thing is I get more friend requests for him on Xbox from MW3 then I get for anything else. I can't come close to his ability in that game. He loves to play online and it is not uncommon for him to get 20-30 kills in a session. So if anyone wants to try their luck at MW3 with him, let me know.
