Spreading that improvement over time makes for a better time for everyone in my eyes. Then Sunday I will be pushing myself to get that as low as I can. So now the cat is out of the bag you know what my goal is, whether you not you choose to follow along with me as I better my times is up to you.

OK.... I've got some work to do... Dunno if I can get down that far, but I will try.... I will grab some of the SF tunes and see what parts they use and try and replicate the tunes...
Stay tuned.... This is gonna be interesting for sure!

Re: July Bounty
I would like your tune's handling combined with the M3Rocket tune gearing-acceleration-speed or whatever it is that makes it a bit faster. I gave yours another try and seriously it's a dream to drive. I just can't hit the same speeds I can with the M3Rocket tune. It's close though. (From my average driving perspective, that is. Fear could do a lot more with it obviously.) As always, thanks for your efforts, Lou!BiggLou55 wrote:OK.... I've got some work to do... Dunno if I can get down that far, but I will try.... Down to 1:07.155 after parts changes and tweaks. Gotta get it done by 12 tomorrow afternoon because I will be out of town for work all next week. Back to it I go!

Re: July Bounty
People keep mentioning in that thread some secret cutoff time that phRED will reveal at some point. So maybe you don't actually have to beat his time? I think the concern was that if you don't have the DLC Pinto you have no chance of being competitive. Stay tuned, I guess, and try your best to keep under him.

Re: July Bounty
I think it is safe to say that there will not be close to 5000 that will beat his time and he will not be wearing any Bosox ware. I am only a couple of hundreds of a second better than him and I am around 1400 overall.
Going into this I thought that a low 1.07 or high 1.06 would be good enough. Now it looks like 1.05 is going to be needed.

My problem exactly, I ran that damn mustang and gremlin INTO THE GROUND and barely made it with the gremlin only to find out he's going to use the pinto and pretty much exterminate the chance of anybody who doesn't own a pinto the unicorn car. His new times blow the doors off of anybody who doesn't own a pinto

Quote from Phred
Its quoted above, I have an alternate time that has been set that will be slower than my final time. For the unicorn there is a secret time that will be revealed Monday morning. But if you want to see me wearing Red Sox gear and a Luchador mask you have to continue to try to beat my time under my real gamertag. The reason for the second time is because of the need for the Pinto but do not get your hopes up that it is a super slow time that 30,000 people are going to win a unicorn because they will not. Just keep trying to beat the time I post, if you can't keep trying to get as close as you can in your chosen car.
What I take of that is that he already set a time for the unicorn car. My guess is that if you are in 1.08 or lower, you will have already won it. His time now is just about the Bosox ware which I think is already over. That is the good news.
The bad news, for me at least, is that I am so competitive that I want to beat his a$$. I may have another couple of hundreds in me but I doubt I can get down to the 1.05 range.

First, I started using Mark's car the Lou's then I made my own and I've just put it up however its a bit "slippery" my most recent time of 1:05.583 was done using my car but marks car is also capable of the same time

I think you are right. I suspect somewhere in 1:07 will get you the unicorn. I'm not going to be home till Sun nite, so I hope to put some time in with Lou's new Pinto...it sounds very impressive!
Same, I wanna beat him.

Re: July Bounty
Well at least he's told everyone that he's set a slightly slower time for the unicorn. It did seem unfair that he was going all out in a DLC car .
So for anyone else running this...have you guys noticed that during the last corner when you get on the throttle really hard when you feel like you can, you just PUSH massively? If you see the replay of my current time, it was a near perfect lap except for when I got to the last corner...I got on the gas and almost hit the wall...I think I crossed the line sideways or drifting.

Re: July Bounty
I'm back
Without pain in my left hand my times are way better than everything I did last week (including the series race).
Now I'm down to 1:05,680 and 1:05,559 dirty.
